GIANT SyncDrive motors
The popular SyncDrive drives are the result of a cooperation between the Taiwanese e-bike manufacturer Giant and the Japanese giant Yamaha. Specifically, the SyncDrive drives are based on Yamaha e-bike motors, but have been developed with a specially developed Giant configured software. The first SyncDrive drives were launched in 2017; they are used exclusively in Giant E-bikes installed.

A special feature of the SyncDrive drives is the intelligent Smart Assist Technology. Comparable to automatic transmissions in cars, Smart Assist automatically provides optimal pedal assistance depending on the riding situation. This allows you to relax and concentrate on riding, resulting in a very natural, smooth riding experience.
There are now various variations of the SyncDrive motors, which are used in different types of e-bikes, from e-mountain bikes to city e-bikes. It's also worth mentioning that SyncDrive motors are available with various displays or control units – for example, "Ride Control EVO," "Ride Control Charge" (compatible with all GIANT e-bikes from 2017 onwards), and "Ride Control One." Then there's "Ride Control Sports," which is used on GIANT bikes such as the Dirt-E, Full-E, and Explore-E.

GIANT SyncDrive Life
Designed for comfortable use in the city, the SyncDrive Life drive is used, for example, in Giant Prime E+ bikes. The 250W mid-drive motor has a torque of 60 Nm. A special feature is the optional automatic support mode, in which special sensors determine the required motor assistance, allowing the gears to be shifted up or down fully automatically as needed. This allows the rider to fully concentrate on the hectic city traffic without being distracted by annoying gear changes. This drive system is a revised version of the classic Yamaha PW drive system for city e-bikes.

This drivetrain offers a comfortable, natural riding experience and is ideal for recreation and daily commuting. Gear ratios range up to 300%.
GIANT SyncDrive Sport
The GIANT SyncDrive Sport is a 250W mid-drive motor with a very high torque of 80 Nm. This sporty drive is a true all-rounder, which is used primarily in touring and trekking e-bikes (e.g. Giant Quick E+, Stance E+, Explore E+, Toughroad E+). The SyncDrive Sport responds to even the slightest pedal pressure and is said to offer very natural power delivery.
GIANT SyncDrive Pro
A true powerhouse, designed specifically for use in e-mountain bikes. The SyncDrive Pro motor is based on the powerful Yamaha PW-X and also has 80 Nm of torque. Thanks to a level of support of up to 360°, the SyncDrive Pro is ideal for even the most demanding trails. If you do have to push your e-bike (e.g., in mud or mire), a push assist with up to 60 Nm provides the necessary support. Thanks to Smart Assist technology, very powerful power delivery is guaranteed even at high cadences (from model year 2020). Despite its enormous power, the SyncDrive Pro motor is very compact and weighs just 3,1 kg (the SyncDrive Life & Sport motors each weigh 3,48 kg). The SyncDrive Pro drive is particularly popular in the ultra-high-performance e-bikes from the GIANT SyncDrive series, e.g., models like the Trance E+, Fathom E+, etc.

Since this tuning module is RedPed Controllable via the app, it offers a wide range of optimization options. The most comprehensive tuning module in terms of features for Giant E-bikes in general. This tuning tool has the advantage that the settings can be conveniently adjusted via a smartphone app. For example, you can set the maximum motor support to an individual value. Another advantage is that up to 25 useful live parameters can be displayed on the smartphone display while on the go. RedPed Turn the module on and off with a self-defined activation code using the e-bike's control buttons, all without a smartphone. The e-bike display shows the correct km/h values even when tuning is active. You only need your smartphone to configure the tuning settings once. Badass Box 4 for Giant E-bikes with Yamaha mid-engine
The Badass Box 4 completely removes the speed limit; there are no additional functions. The tuning can be switched on or off at any time by plugging or unplugging the box and moving the supplied spoke magnet. When tuning is active, the correct speed is no longer displayed due to functional reasons. Compared to the previous version, the Badass Box 4 features some significant improvements, including a patented snap closure for even faster attachment and removal. A AAA battery also provides an even longer range (over 7.000 km). Made in Germany.
SpeedBox 3.2 for Giant SyncDrive Sport (70 Nm) + SyncDrive Core + SyncDrive Life + SyncDrive 2017-2021 (80 Nm)
Tuning chip to remove the speed limit. It is even possible to set the maximum speed to a desired value. Even with active tuning, the display shows correct values. It is operated via the e-bike's controls. This chip is available in a "normal" version and in a "B.Tuning" version, which also includes the SpeedBox App compatible. Thanks to the app, you benefit from various additional features, such as recording trips. This tuning replaces the old "SpeedBox 3.0 for Giant".
SpeedBox 3.3 for Giant SyncDrive Pro 2 (85 Nm) + RideControl Go / Giant SyncDrive Sport 2 (75 Nm) + Ride Control Dash
Tuning chip that allows you to remove the 25 km/h speed limit. This allows for much faster driving with full engine support. It is controlled via the buttons on the display. Even with active tuning, the display shows real values. This tuning is also available in two versions: In addition to the "normal" version, there is also the "B.Tuning" version, which also includes the SpeedBox App is compatible. Numerous additional features can be used via the app, for example, saving trips and displaying extensive driving data while on the go. This tuning replaces the previous "SpeedBox 3.1 for Giant".

Even with active tuning, the display continues to show all values correctly: current speed, average and maximum speed, daily performance, range, etc. The SpeedBox 2 can be switched on or off at any time by briefly pressing the WALK button on the control unit.

PearTune 4.0 for Giant SyncDrive Pro2
This tuning chip doesn't just remove the 25 km/h speed limit; you can even individually set the maximum speed. The display accurately shows the current speed. The module is conveniently controlled via the control buttons on the e-bike (activate/deactivate, etc.). An original feature is the "chip lock," which makes the tuning module "invisible" to outsiders and temporarily prevents the tuning from being activated. Optional switching between "Normal" and "Still On" versions is possible (with "Still On," the tuning is always active as soon as the e-bike is switched on; this feature is intended for e-bikes without the required control buttons). The most popular PearTune MSO tuning modules completely remove the preset 25 km/h speed limit. But with PearTune MSO 4.0 extends the functionality even further: For the first time, there's the option to set the maximum speed to a custom value using the bike's control buttons. There's also a "chip lock" function that allows you to "hide" the tuning in case of an emergency (the e-bike and display will then function as they did in their original state, and the tuning will temporarily be disabled). Without the chip lock, however, the tuning can be activated/deactivated at any time using the control buttons. Even with active tuning, the correct speed is displayed. The module requires no extra battery. Compatible with Giant SPORT, PRO, CORE and all Giant Displays (models from 2017).
PearTune MSO 3.0 for Giant
A proven tuning module that completely removes the 25 km/h speed limit. There are no additional functions. However, you can conveniently turn the tuning on or off using the WALK button (alternatively, there is a "Still On" version for bikes without a WALK button). Even with active tuning, the speed and other values are displayed correctly. PearTune MSO 3.0 has been optimized in many ways; the tool now provides even more power, is even easier to install, and even works with the new GIANT drivetrains (model year 2020). PearTune MSO 3.0 for Giant Revolt E+ with EP8 Di2
This e-bike tuning chip's functionality is limited to the absolute essentials: removing the 25 km/h speed limit. There are no other functions. The tuning activates automatically as soon as you turn on the bike, but you can deactivate/activate it again at any time using the light button. When tuning is active, the correct speed is only displayed up to approximately 23-25 km/h. An extra battery is not required for the chip. Compatible with Giant Revolt E+ e-bikes with Shimano EP8 motor and Di2 gears.
sIMPLEk Stick for Yamaha
The first tuning dongle for Yamaha e-bikes ever that still displays the correct speed. This tool completely removes the limitation of motor assistance. A tuning dongle that completely removes the speed limit on e-bikes with Yamaha engines. The dongle has a USB connection, so all tuning-relevant components can be removed within seconds. Even with active tuning, the current speed remains readable, but only via the second digit and the decimal place of the speedometer (a display of 14,4 km/h actually corresponds to a speed of 44 km/h, etc.). MBIQ-CC 2 (Universal)
A universal tuning solution that is compatible with e-bike drives from various manufacturers (including Bosch Gen4). The tool completely removes the 25 km/h speed limit. Customer-programmable and "anti-tuning" ready. Unlike the standard MBIQ-CC, tuning on the MBIQ-CC 2 can also be activated via an external switch (not included) or via a light signal (only with 2-wire sensors). The MBIQ-P completely removes the 25 km/h speed limit. It's a practical plug-in solution in the form of a compact module that must be plugged between the speed sensor and the motor controller. The tuning can be switched on or off using specific wheel movements when starting up the e-bike; a PC or smartphone is not required. This tuning tool is maintenance-free and does not require its own battery. When tuning is active, the displayed speed is "frozen" at a speed of approximately 20 km/h. Compatible with Yamaha PW-X3 and Giant Syncdrive Per 2 e-bikes.
Eplus Advanced by Mountain Tuning for Giant 2017-2023
The Eplus Advanced will the Eplus Advanced Tuning Chip familiar with the Eplus Tuning app, so that numerous setting options and features are available. The main function is, of course, the removal of the 25 km/h speed limit, so that you can ride much faster with full motor support. The app even allows you to set the maximum speed to an individual value. In addition, you can activate an immobilizer, change the motor mapping, etc. Although the e-bike display shows both speed and kilometers traveled, only halved but the correct driving data can alternatively be displayed via the app. Tuning can be activated/deactivated via the WALK button. The tuning chip does not require its own battery. Compatible with GIANT SyncDrive Sport / Pro / Core 2017-2023 as well as with “RideControl Ergo 1" and "RideControl Dash” (not compatible with SyncDrive “RideControl GO” and “RideControl Ergo 3”).
