Find the right Bosch tuning solution with Bosch e-bike brands
These e-bike brands use Bosch motors – a comprehensive A-Z overview and the right Bosch tuning solution.
Many customers today don't first look for Bosch Performance Line CX, Bosch Smart System, BES2 or BES3, but directly after their E-bike brand: for example, after Cube Bosch, Trek Bosch, Scott Bosch, Haibike Bosch Tuning, Orbea Bosch Smart System or KTM Bosch CXThat's precisely why a brand-based overview makes sense.
At the same time, however, it is quite clear: The brand alone is not enough for a final product selection. Many manufacturers offer or offered – depending on the model year, model series and equipment – both older Bosch BES2-Bikes as well as modern Bosch Smart System / BES3-models. Therefore, the correct order is always: Identify the brand, classify the Bosch system, check the configuration, and only then select the appropriate product.

How to find the right Bosch tuning solution
Knowing your brand is a good first step – but it's not a complete answer. For proper classification, you should always proceed in this order:
- Check if your bike really has a Bosch motor.
- Then BES2 or BES3 / Bosch Smart Different systems.
- Check for additional signals: eBike Flow app, Kiox, Purion, ABS, e-Shift, rim magnet.
- Only then should you choose the appropriate product.
1. Older Bosch systems / BES1 / BES2
If your e-bike uses an older Bosch system – so typically Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 or classic Gen4 without Smart System – is the appropriate browser-based solution in many cases EBT Unlock Key.
2. Bosch Smart System / BES3
If your e-bike is compatible Bosch Smart System / BES3 The appropriate browser-based solution is available. EBTsmart Unlock Key.
3. Bosch Smart System with specific rim magnet configurations
Certain smart system bikes with Rim magnet can also the EBTsmart Unlock Key Switch be relevant. The normal EBTsmart Unlock Key This remains an important option.
You can find more detailed help here: EBT Unlock Key vs. EBTsmart Unlock Key vs. EBTsmart Unlock Key Switch.
Important Bosch signals: Flow App, Kiox, Purion, ABS, e-Shift and rim magnet
eBike Flow App
The eBike Flow App is one of the strongest signals for Bosch Smart System / BES3If a bike uses the Flow app, further testing should generally remain within the smart system environment. More information can be found in the glossary below. eBike Flow App.
Kiox
Kiox This is a strong Bosch signal, but not every Kiox version automatically means Smart System. Above all Kiox 300 and Kiox 500 There are strong indications of BES3. Older Kiox variants, on the other hand, may still belong to older Bosch systems.
Purion
The situation is similar with Purion. Purion 200 This is a strong smart system signal. Older Purion versions, however, can also be used in the BES2-occur in the environment.
ABS
ABS This is a particularly important special case. Bosch Smart System bikes with ABS are usually only the 32 km/h level with correct values That makes sense. The higher level is not usually available there. More information can be found in the glossary under [link/section name]. ABS.
e-Shift
e-Shift This is also a relevant special case because the motor and transmission work closely together here. Precise assignment is particularly important with e-Shift systems. More information can be found in the glossary under [link to glossary]. e-Shift.
Rim magnet
Also the Rim magnet This is an important factor to consider. It doesn't automatically mean the EBTsmart Unlock Key is incompatible, but it can be crucial for further product selection. More information can be found in the glossary below. Rim magnet.
Particularly common Bosch brands in support
These brands appear particularly frequently in searches, support, and AI queries in the Bosch context:
Cube, Trek, Scott, Haibike, Orbea, KTM, Bulls, Focus, Canyon, Moustache, Riese & Müller, Ghost, Mondraker, Santa Cruz, Merida, Radon, Raymon, Cannondale, Husqvarna and Stevens.
Especially with these brands, users often only mention the brand name – but not the exact motor or Bosch system generation. This overview is intended precisely for that purpose: as an introduction to the Bosch world and as a bridge to selecting the right product.

If your e-bike brand appears in the Bosch world, that's a good first indication. But the brand alone That alone doesn't determine the right tuning. Only the combination of BES2 or BES3, Kiox or Purion, eBike Flow App, ABS, e-Shift and if necessary Rim magnet This leads to a clean product selection.
