Module (chip)
Modules, often simply called chips, are the most widely used products for freeing the e-bike motor from its limitations. The modules (chips) must be installed in the engine compartment and connected via connecting cables. The disadvantage is obvious: Once a module (chip) is installed, the e-bike is no longer suitable for road traffic regulations. However, a chip often offers correct values and additional convenience, as data can be exchanged with the display, controller, or motor unit. Settings on the module are usually made via the display.
