Dongle
E-bike tuning dongles have a removable part, the dongle. First, a cable set must usually be installed in the e-bike's engine compartment. The control unit (the dongle) is then usually placed on the outside and secured with a cable tie. If the dongle is unplugged, the control unit that removes the de-throttling is no longer connected to the e-bike. This is how the classic e-bike tuning system, the Sx2 dongle, even with the statement "Legal in 2 seconds." In fact, we are not aware of anything to the contrary. The effective component is then obviously no longer located on the e-bike. A new, clever variant is the Splug, which, with its elegant magnetic mount, represents the most modern form of the dongle. However, a dongle is the term used for all products that require removable hardware to allow changes to be made.
