The E-Bike Tuning Giant Overview. E-Bike Tuning for GIANT SyncDrive Mid-engines at a glance. The world-renowned bicycle manufacturer GIANT presented the first SyncDrive drive in 2017. The drive is based on a 70 Nm e-bike motor from Yamaha , which was equipped by GIANT with automatic software. A special feature of the GIANT SyncDrive drive was the "Zero Cadence Support," where the motor delivers thrust from the first crank rotation (without any delay). Over time, further versions of the GIANT SyncDrive motors continually came onto the market, with the SyncDrive Pro 2 which has been specially optimized for E-MTBs. This drive is based on the powerful Yamaha PW-X Motor (80 Nm & support up to 360%). The dynamic GIANT SyncDrive Sport The drive is a true powerhouse, which is particularly used in trekking and touring e-bikes (80 Nm). GIANT SyncDrive Life on the other hand has "only" 60 Nm.
Almost all Yamaha GIANT Yamaha Syncdrive Engines such as Pro, Life, Core and Sport are unlockable.
