ASA Speed - Tuning modules for e-bikes with Bosch or Yamaha engines

The ASA Speed was the first tuning module on the market to display the actual speed on the e-bike display, regardless of whether the tuning was activated or not. This digital tuning tool allows you to completely remove the speed limit on e-bikes with Bosch or Yamaha drives without affecting the functionality of the HMI. In other words: the e-bike functions exactly as before - except that there is no longer a speed limit. This means that not only is the actual speed displayed, but other speedometer values ​​such as kilometers traveled, average and maximum speed are also displayed correctly. Furthermore, no error codes are generated for 2:1 gear ratios (error code 102). The tuning module removes the limitation of the motor assistance in the Bosch Sport and Turbo modes by default - other modes can be user-programmed.

Important: If you experience problems with the speed display, it generally helps to perform a self-calibration on the ASA module. Simply follow the instructions in the included manual.

The module's microprocessor-controlled electronics automatically adapt to the different tire sizes (self-calibration). No additional switches, dongles, cables, or attachments, etc., are required. The ASA module remains invisible. The tuning tool's electronics are operated via the HMI controls.

The installation of the ASA Speed Tuning tools use original Bosch or Yamaha connectors and are designed to prevent damage to any cables – so you can restore your e-bike to its original condition at any time if you want to use it on public roads again. To open the engine compartment, you need a Bosch motor. special tools (Crank puller and additionally a spider tool for Bosch Classic engines).

The ASA Speed is available in different versions:

1) For the new Bosch engines (Active, Performance, CX Line or Active Line Plus) there is the ASA.B25.14 Tuning module for Bosch Pedelecs with motor support up to 25 km/h (250 watts). Not suitable for Classic Line and Bosch drives before 2014, and also not for Bosch Gen3 and Gen2 motors with firmware version 1.8.4.0 or higher or Bosch Gen4 motors. 

2) Tuning for Bosch S-Pedelecs with motor support up to 45 km/h: The ASA.B45.14 for the newer Bosch drives. Does not fit Classic Line and Bosch drives before 2014.

3) The ASA.B25.13 is the ultimate tuning module for Bosch e-bikes (pedelecs) with motor support up to 25 km/h (250 watts). Suitable for models from 2011-2012 (HMI), 2013 Intuvia (up to 25 km/h) including 2014. Classic Line. Not suitable for Bosch Active, Performance (CX) and Active Line Plus Lines from model year 2014 (Bosch Gen2, Gen3 and Gen4).

4) The ASA.B45.13 is the ideal module for Bosch S-Pedelecs with motor support up to 45 km/h (350 watts). Suitable from 2011-2012 (HMI), 2013 Intuvia (up to 45 km/h) including 2014 Classic Line. Not suitable for Active and Performance (CX) and Active Line Plus Lines from Bosch from 2014 (Bosch Gen2, Gen3 and Gen4).

5) The ASA.Y25.01 is the tuning product of the ASA series and optimizes Yamaha Powerdrive (PW) Motors with LCD display. All values ​​are displayed correctly.

Note: ASA Speed Modules are not applicable for the new Bosch 2020 (Gen4) motors, as well as Bosch Gen3 and Gen2 motors with firmware equal to or newer than 1.8.4.0.

Important: ASA Speed have not been sold since the end of 2022. The developer has ceased operations due to age.
