Bosch Tuning Finder: Find the right solution for your Bosch e-bike
Bosch e-bikes differ not only in motor name or generation. For choosing the right product, the Bosch system ecosystem, display, app connectivity, charging plug, BDU identification, rim magnet, ABS, e-Shift, and sensor position are particularly important.
Quickly find the right Bosch product range
Choose the entry point that best suits your level of knowledge. If you are unsure, start with the system check.
The finder uses technical features to guide users to the appropriate Bosch category or product solution – including BES2, Smart System, Rim magnet, ABS, e-Shift, software, box, sensor, module and chip.
Important for Bosch:
Terms like Bosch CX, Gen4, or Gen5 are often insufficient. A classic Gen4 CX motor might belong to the BES2 world, while a Smart System CX is already BES3. Therefore, the app, display, charging plug, BDU, magnet type, and special equipment should all be considered together.
Tip: If unsure, run the system check first. This will help avoid typical confusion between BES2, BES3, Gen4, Gen5 and wheel magnets.
Step 1:
Which Bosch system is installed?
The motor name is not the only deciding factor. Bosch systems can be most reliably classified by their charging port, display, app connectivity, and control unit.
Orientation: If the e-bike is connected to the Bosch eBike Flow app, it is Bosch BES3 / Smart SystemKiox or Nyon without the Flow app, on the other hand, typically belong to the classic BES2 world.
