That's how it works
- Open a Bluetooth-enabled browser on your smartphone (e.g. Bluefy for iOS or WebBLE for Android).
- Turn on your Ninebot e-scooter and activate Bluetooth.
- Access the activation link that you will receive via email after purchase.
- Connect to the scooter and start the activation.
- The unlock is permanent and can be reset to factory settings if necessary.
The entire procedure takes about a minute and requires no additional equipment or software installation.

“German Maneuver” in the NBT Unlock Key
After unlocking with the NBT Unlock Key, your Ninebot e-scooter will always start in its original state for safety reasons – with the speed limit activated. To activate the tuning, you must enter a specific key combination, the so-called "German Maneuver." This manual activation prevents accidental starting in the tuned state and provides greater control.
The input is made directly via the scooter's controls through a sequence of brake and throttle commands. Depending on the model, there are two options: Apply the brake fully multiple times, then press the throttle fully multiple times – or – Brake left multiple times, then brake right multiple times. Maintain a consistent rhythm: hold each input for approximately 1 second, with a pause of approximately 1 second between each step. This input only works if the e-scooter has been turned on beforehand. A "timeout" prevents the subsequent activation sequence.
After successful activation, a modified speed display appears on the display or a beep sounds. The tuning remains active until the scooter is turned off. The next time the scooter is started, the tuning is deactivated and must be manually reactivated.
