Badass Box 4 sets for Fazua Engines
The Badass Box Fazua Slim Set is only compatible with the sensor shown (top image) if it is located on the chainstay (red marked area in the bottom image).
The Badass Box 4 lifts the 25 km/h speed limit for e-bikes with Fazua mid-engines completely. This finally allows the full potential of the Fazua Use drives – this means you can ride much faster than before with full motor support!
The Badass Box 4 has the advantage that it can be plugged and unplugged in no time with just one hand, so that you can activate or deactivate the tuning at any time. After plugging in (=Tuning On), the Badass Box contactless – i.e. without electrical connection to the motor or intervention in the motor electronics – a modified signal so that the preset speed limit can be exceeded.
Due to its functionality, the e-bike display will display an incorrect speed when tuning is active. This also applies to values derived from it. Our tip: Simply use GPS-enabled devices such as smartphones or bike computers to display the correct speed and other riding data.
The Badass Box 4 has the advantage that the legal condition of the e-bike can be quickly restored (motor support up to 25 km/h). To do this, you only have to Badass Box and push the spoke magnet back to its original position.
Each Badass Box is Made in Germany and is double-checked for correct functionality during production.
The most sophisticated Badass Box ever
Thanks to various improvements, the Badass Box 4 is the best version of this proven tuning tool yet. Here are the key advantages over previous models:
-The housing has been redesigned and made slimmer so that there can no longer be any tight installation situations.
-The O-ring of the previous version has been replaced by a patented snap closure, so that the Badass Box can be removed or plugged in even more easily and quickly. In addition, at the customer's request, an optional cable tie fastening system was added to the snap fastener.
The CR2 battery has been replaced with a more powerful AAA battery. This only needs to be replaced once a year, or after more than 7000 km. The specially developed, patented FEET (Field Enhancement & Elimination Technology) also contributes to increasing the range. The battery can be replaced quickly and without tools, and suitable replacement batteries are available almost everywhere.
-To protect against moisture and mechanical stress, the electronics of the Badass Box glued into the housing with a special casting compound and completely sealed
Installation
In contrast to some other tuning tools, when installing the Badass Box 4 the engine does not have to be opened with any effort.
During initial installation, you'll need to install the included spoke magnet instead of the original spoke magnet. While the included spoke magnet works just like the original magnet, it's necessary for the patented field amplification technology to work when the box is attached.
The Badass Box 4 itself must have the Fazua Speed sensor next to the rear wheel. As soon as the snap lock engages, the box is securely fastened (optionally, additional fastening with cable ties is possible). After putting the Badass Box On the sensor you only have to move the spoke magnet towards the edge of the housing in the direction of the snap lock - now the tuning is active and the 25 km/h speed limit is lifted!
To cancel the tuning, simply remove the box and return the spoke magnet to its original position. Now the motor support ends again – as usual – at 25 km/h.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery takes 1-3 business days within Germany. In exceptional cases, it can take up to 8 business days. Delivery times outside Germany may take longer. Please understand that due to high demand, some products may experience longer delivery times.

Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
