The adapter of the Badass Box 5 Slim Set fits ALL engines that have the Bosch Slim Sensor on the chainstay or in the dropout
own (regardless of whether Bosch Smart System or not):

Bosch SLIM SENSOR (Bosch adapter), as it is located on the chainstay. Here you can see the adapter from Bosch, which houses the rod-shaped sensor of the Bosch Smart This can be fitted precisely into the Badass Box Install adapter.
Sensor on the chainstay. A good indicator that your sensor is mounted on the chainstay is the presence of a spoke magnet. Furthermore, the sensor is usually directly and easily visible.
Dropouts
Bosch Slim Sensor. If this sensor of your Bosch motor is integrated into the dropout of your bike, then this Badass Box 5 Slim Set also compatible.
The sensor is located near the dropout. If the sensor is integrated, you won't have a spoke magnet; instead, there's a magnet on the brake disc. To get a good view of the sensor, we recommend removing the rear wheel.
Important: This tool is NOT compatible with Bosch e-bikes with rim magnet or ABS / ABS Pro.

The tuning is compatible with the specially developed Boost Buddy app , so you can benefit from a variety of practical additional functions (iOS & Android).
The housing of the Badass Box The 5 has been completely redesigned and, by popular request, features a seal. Unlike its predecessors, the badassBox 5 no longer slides onto a specific sensor type, but instead adapts to various drive systems using an adapter. This means that the new BadassBox 5 can continue to be used with a new adapter if you change e-bikes.
The BadassBox 5 can be easily updated with new firmware via any smartphone – simple and free. The optional Boost Buddy app serves as a speedometer and for configuring tuning settings. Power is supplied by a standard AAA battery (easily replaceable; replacement batteries are readily available at most retailers). This eliminates the need for special cables and significantly simplifies installation.
To protect the bike from moisture and mechanical stress, the electronics were integrated into the housing of the Badass Box glued and completely sealed.
Please note that the e-bike display will no longer show correct values (speed, distance, etc.) when using the tuning. However, you can view the correct data via the app. We recommend simply attaching your phone to the handlebars using a standard handlebar mount.

Important: The manufacturer strongly advises against performing or having performed any motor firmware upgrades, for example, at a bicycle service center. There is no guarantee that the tuning will still function correctly afterward.

Installing an e-bike tuning chip in your e-bike may require special tools . Please check beforehand whether you need to open the motor compartment to access the motor's connectors. This applies particularly to products in the categories of modules , kits , dongles , and sensors.
If you don't opt for a tuning solution that requires installation in the engine compartment ( such as a tuning box or software ), you won't need the necessary tools. You'll find further tips in our guide .

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery time:
The processing time for physical products generally only begins after payment has been received . Within Germany, it usually takes 1–3 business days . In exceptional cases, processing may take up to 8 business days . Delivery times to other countries may vary.
Please note: You will only receive a DHL shipment confirmation once the shipment has been scanned for the first time at the parcel center. Only from this point onward will the shipment be trackable.
Due to high demand, ongoing incoming goods, or anticipated short-notice restocks, some products may experience longer processing times. We appreciate your understanding.
Note regarding digital products/license codes: License codes and license keys are not sent by mail, but by email . Processing begins only after payment has been received. Please note that instant bank transfers do not automatically result in a direct bank credit, and in some cases, credit card payments may also experience delays in payment reconciliation. The respective license code will then be generated and sent. This may take several hours in some cases. If you do not receive a license code, please always provide us with the order number in the format xxx-xxx-xxx.
For customers from Switzerland: For deliveries to Switzerland, we recommend a separate service.
Shipping:
Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value:
The minimum order value is €25. Only above this amount are advance payment, PayPal, and bank transfer available as payment methods.
Maximum order value:
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is €1.000. The maximum order value within the EU is €12.500.
Payment in advance via bank transfer:
Please transfer the total amount, including your order number, to our account, which was communicated to you in the confirmation email. Please note that transfers within Germany can take up to three business days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria, usually reach us very quickly. Transfers from other countries can take slightly longer on average.
Payment in advance via Paypal:
At the end of the ordering process, you will be redirected to the PayPal page. There you can initiate your payment. Once the PayPal transaction is complete, your order status will change in the shop. The goods will then be shipped as soon as possible.
