The innovative one EBikeSpider This replaces two important Bosch e-bike special tools in one hand tool, which are essential for (2.) opening the e-bike motor, (1.) changing the chainring or (2.) other work, such as inserting a bearing protection ring.
This bundle also includes a crank puller (SHIMANO Octalink and ISIS). The crank puller is used to remove the crank arm, which is a prerequisite for accessing the lockring.
The EBikeSpider with crank puller costs approximately €20. Each Bosch Spider tool would normally cost approximately €30 individually. This gives you all the important specialty tools for your Bosch e-bikes at an excellent price-performance ratio.
Important: The EBikeSpider without crank puller there here !
We've specially designed the E-Bike Spider Tool for you to largely eliminate the need for expensive specialist tools for Bosch e-bike motors. This saves you not only money, but also a trip or two to the e-bike repair shop.

- Crank puller (SHIMANO Octalink and ISIS).
Notes on the Bosch locking ring:
- 20 to 25 Newton meters (Nm)
- Please check the Newton-meter specifications before each use and apply the tool at the correct pressure. If you still have an old hard plastic lockring, you should simply get a new, better aluminum lockring.
- If you use a torque wrench, you will need a 22mm hexagon socket to use the 22mm wrench when EBikeSpider to use the right amount of force.
- Limitations: On some E-Fatbikes, the spider nuts may be recessed inside, so that the EBikeSpider with its comprehensive approach, unfortunately, cannot be used. This also generally applies to Haibike chainrings for e-fat bikes and Miranda lock rings for Bosch e-bikes.
Tools
Installing an e-bike tuning chip in your e-bike may require special tools . Please check beforehand whether you need to open the motor compartment to access the motor's connectors. This applies particularly to products in the categories of modules , kits , dongles , and sensors.
Normally (but not always), opening the motor compartment requires loosening the crankset. For this, you'll need a crank puller . Some motors also require a spider tool to open the lockring on the chainring – the chainring needs to be loosened to remove the motor cover and access the motor's interior. If you want to replace the chainring (due to wear or to change the gear ratio), you'll often need a spider tool as well . You can find the necessary special tool in our shop. Finally, removing the motor cover usually requires a Torx or Allen wrench. For installing the modules, appropriate pliers from the electronics sector are suitable.
If you don't opt for a tuning solution that requires installation in the engine compartment ( such as a tuning box or software ), you won't need the necessary tools. You'll find further tips in our guide .

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.
