What happens if the controller or central components are replaced?
Changing key system components can result in a technically different system. In this case, the existing license code may no longer be able to activate the tuning.
Does an error message like "License server error" appear?
This usually just means the server is currently overloaded. Simply try again after a few minutes using the login link.
Note on usage
This tuning product is exclusively for use on Private property or for testing purposes with one Bosch e-mountain bike Intended for use on public roads. Use on public roads is not permitted. Further warnings can be found [here/below/etc.]. here.
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.

Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident.
