Eplus Advanced by Mountain Tuning for Bosch Smart System
E-bike tuning chip for Bosch Smart System E-Bikes from Eplus (Mountain Tuning): This tuning chip removes the 25 km/h speed limit and enables motor assistance of over 40 km/h. Thanks to this tuning tool, the enormous potential of Bosch drives can be fully exploited.
In contrast to the basic version ("Eplus Mini Unlocker") is this Eplus Advanced Tuning chip also with the useful Eplus Tuning app Compatible. This allows you to benefit from many practical additional functions, significantly expanding the functionality of the tuning. For example, you can not only conveniently activate the tuning via the app, but also activate an immobilizer or display the correct riding data on your smartphone (when tuning is active, the e-bike display will not show the correct values). Activating/deactivating the tuning is only possible via the app.
It is at Eplus Advanced It is a chip or module that must be connected to the connectors on the motor (the motor itself does not need to be opened). Eplus Connectors manufactured using advanced low-pressure casting technology (no need to remove the original seals). They are also equipped with O-rings for moisture protection. The necessary terminals are included.
If a Eplus Advanced Chip is installed in the engine housing, the tuning is completely invisible from the outside.

Addendum: Compatible with Bosch Smart System Upgrade April 2025: This tuning tool is, to our knowledge, also compatible with the Bosch Smart System upgrade from April 2025 (sometimes referred to as version "15.10.1" or "15.13.1"). You can identify the upgrade by the following software versions: Drive Unit Performance Line CX: 15.24.2 / LED Remote: 15.12.3 / Kiox 300: 15.10.0 / PowerTube 750: 15.10.1
For Scott Patron a special extension cable is required.
-Not compatible with Bosch Smart System E-bikes with magnet on the valve (rim magnet)!
-Not compatible with Bosch Smart System E-Bikes with ABS system!
Tip: Bosch Smart System E-Bikes (BES3) can be easily identified by the plug on the charging cable.
Does your Bosch E-Bike charging cable have a square plug (as shown above), you have the correct Tuning module selected (if the bike does not have ABS and a rim magnet). If your Bosch e-bike does not have either of these connectors, you either do NOT have a Bosch e-bike, or you have an e-bike with the old Gen1 drive (Classic Line).
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.
