MBevo E-Bike Tuning for Brose / Specialized (Levo) Mid-engines
With this practical plug-in solution you can change the factory set speed limit of many Specialized / Brose E-bike motors completely. There will then be no 25 km/h speed limit, and you can ride much faster with full motor support. This way, the enormous potential of your Brose / Specialized Finally use e-bikes to 100 percent.
This tuning tool's functionality is limited to the absolute essentials: removing the annoying 25 km/h speed limit. There are no other features—but since the MBevo is programmable, you can turn the tuning on and off as needed.
The MBevo is completely maintenance-free and does not require its own power supply or battery.
Easy installation
To install, simply insert the tool into the existing sensor cable between the speed sensor and the motor (of course, the motor cover must be removed first). Matching connectors are included. Since the MBevo requires very little space, it can be easily stored compactly. If you want to restore your e-bike to its original condition, you can remove the tool at any time.
Functionality
MBevo tuning is based on a fixed division of the actual speed pulses by a factor of 2 or 3 (depending on programming). This lowers the transmitted speed, thus overriding the factory-set speed limit.
Note: Since the split only kicks in at speeds above 6 km/h, the e-bike's WALK mode is still supported. So, even with active tuning, you don't have to miss out on the practical walking assistance.
Customer-programmable
This tuning tool is programmable by the customer after installation. Programming is done using specific, sequential wheel movements when starting up the e-bike. The respective mode can then be read and adjusted as a speed on the display (or via an app).
With the MBevo, you have the option of setting the speed divider to a factor of 2 or 3. You can also permanently deactivate or permanently activate tuning—in this case, tuning is always deactivated or activated as soon as you turn on the e-bike. Alternatively, you can also set the "Tuning by Power-On Condition" mode:
- Permanent tuning disabled: Maximum speed up to 25 km/h. Accurate speed display.
- Permanent tuning activated (factory setting): Speed limit lifted, the speed driven is displayed divided by the selected factor of 2 or 3.
- Tuning according to switch-on condition: Here, you can spontaneously decide whether tuning should be active or not when booting up the e-bike. To activate tuning, the magnet must be in front of the sensor for at least 4 seconds during system startup; otherwise, tuning remains inactive (the magnet is located either on a rear wheel spoke or on the brake disc).

Correct speed display possible via BLEvo app
As already mentioned, when tuning is active, your e-bike display will only show the speed divided by the (selected) value 2 or 3.
However, you can display the correct speed on your smartphone using the BLEvo app (by Paolo Dozio). This app features an adjustable multiplier that converts the divided speed back into the actual speed.
Available for "Apple " or "Android".
Important: This smartphone app is not part of the MBevo tuning module.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery takes 1-3 business days within Germany. In exceptional cases, it can take up to 8 business days. Delivery times outside Germany may take longer. Please understand that due to high demand, some products may experience longer delivery times.

Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.

Maximum order value:
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is €1.000. The maximum order value within the EU is €12.500.

Please note that transfers within Germany can take up to three business days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria, usually reach us very quickly.
