MBIQ-P Plug-In Solution for AEG / Panasonic / Flyer (2-pin)
The MBIQ-P is a microcontroller-based tuning tool that supports the 25 km/h speed limit of AEG / Panasonic / Flyer E-bike motors. There are no additional functions. Since it's a practical plug-in solution, installation is extremely simple: The MBIQ-P simply needs to be plugged in between the speed sensor and the motor controller.
The MBIQ-P is customer-programmable, allowing tuning to be enabled or disabled as needed. No additional battery is required, as power is supplied passively via the sensor path.
With this ingenious tuning tool, you can finally discover the full potential of your e-bike drive and ride much faster than 25 km/h with full motor support!
Functionality
After installation, the MBIQ-P analyzes and processes the current speed profile and, if tuning is activated, transmits manipulated values. Speeds above 25 km/h are blocked for the engine firmware, completely removing the 25 km/h speed limit.
Important note: Due to this special functionality, the e-bike display will no longer show correct speed values above a speed of approx. 22 km/h.
Incidentally, the evaluation of the engine software is not influenced by the manipulated values (“anti-tuning-ready”).
Customer-programmable
The MBIQ-P can be programmed, allowing tuning to be switched on and off.
Programming is done using specific wheel movements when starting up the e-bike (no PC or smartphone is required). This allows three different operating modes to be set:
- Mode 1: Tuning mode / tuning permanently activated (25 km/h speed limit is lifted, no correct speed display from approx. 22 km/h).
- Mode 2: Normal operation / tuning permanently deactivated (motor support completely normal up to 25 km/h, correct speed display).
- Mode 3: Tuning can be selected at startup. In this mode, you can use the magnet to determine whether tuning should be active or not when turning on the e-bike. To activate tuning, the magnet must be in front of the sensor for at least 4-5 seconds during startup; otherwise, tuning remains inactive.
If executed correctly, the respective operating mode is indicated by the brief display of certain speed values on the display.
Simple installation
The MBIQ-P is a plug-in solution that requires very little installation space. Installation is therefore simple and can even be performed by a DIY driver. The MBIQ-P must be integrated into the existing speed sensor cable—more precisely, the tool must be inserted between the speed sensor and the engine control unit. This is straightforward because the tuning tool uses the same connectors as the existing sensor cable.
Please note: The sensor connector is usually located in the engine compartment, but it can also be located outside. If the connector is located in the engine compartment, the engine block may need to be removed to access the sensor connector.
The MBIQ-P can be removed at any time if you want to restore the e-bike to its original condition.

To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.
