MBTQ for TQ HPR 120S / Haibike Flyon
The TQ HPR 120S motors, used in the Haibike Flyon series, for example, are undoubtedly among the most powerful e-bike drives available. However, the enormous power of these motors is limited by the preset speed limit. The MBTQ Tuning Tool removes this limit, allowing you to finally utilize the drives' enormous potential. You can then ride much faster than before with full motor support!
The MBTQ for the TQ HPR 120S / Haibike Flyon is a practical plug-in solution that must be integrated into the existing speed sensor cable. The tool is equipped with suitable connectors for this purpose.
The MBTQ is microcontroller-based and completely overrides the 25 km/h speed limit. This is made possible by the tool analyzing and processing the current speed profile after installation and, if tuning is activated, outputting manipulated values (speeds above 25 km/h are blocked for the engine firmware). This overrides and overrides the preset speed limit. Incidentally, the engine software's evaluation is not affected by the manipulated values (however, the total mileage may show slightly lower kilometers than actually driven due to the manipulated speed display).
Tuning can be switched on and off
The scope of delivery includes a compact button (including its own cable) with which you can switch the tuning on and off as required at the touch of a button.
Connecting the button is optional—meaning it's not required to use the MBTQ Tuning Tool. If you don't connect the button, the tuning will be activated automatically as soon as you turn on the e-bike (=speed limit lifted).
You can also use the button to program the tuning behavior at system startup (“Tuning off at startup” or “Tuning on startup”).
The MBTQ is 100% maintenance-free and does not require a separate power supply or its own battery.
Please keep in mind:
Due to the special functionality of the MBQT, the e-bike display will only show the correct speed up to approximately 23 km/h when tuned. At higher speeds, the displayed speed will always remain below 25 km/h – even if you're actually riding much faster.
Our tip: Use GPS-enabled additional devices such as smartphones or bike computers to display the correct pace while on the go.
Mounting
The MBTQ must be integrated into the existing speed sensor's wiring, which is done via the connectors in the engine compartment. The MBTQ is equipped with two matching connectors for this purpose – one for the motor and one for the sensor. There is also a separate, optional button connection. Please note that the button cable may need to be routed through the frame.
If necessary, the MBTQ can be removed again and the tuning can be reversed.

MBTQ for TQ HPR 120S / Haibike Flyon – Compatibility
This tuning tool is compatible with e-bikes with TQ HPR 120S mid-drive motors in conjunction with the rotary encoder disc (see image). This makes it compatible with e-bikes from the Haibike Flyon series (XDURO, NDURO, ALLMTN, ALLTRAIL, ADVENTR, etc.). This product is not compatible with M1 Spitzing TQ motors and other e-bikes with a simple spoke magnet.
The tool is compatible with all current engine firmwares ("anti-tuning ready"). Tested up to firmware version 1.5.137.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery takes 1-3 business days within Germany. In exceptional cases, it can take up to 8 business days. Delivery times outside Germany may take longer. Please understand that due to high demand, some products may experience longer delivery times.

Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
