Tuning for your ePowerFun E-scooter! With this ingenious kit, you can increase the top speed of your ePF-1 PRO e-scooter from 20 km/h to up to 31 km/h. This makes your riding experience significantly more powerful and exciting. Plus, you'll get from A to B much faster!
But that’s not all: With the Mountain Tuning Controller, you can even equip your ePF-1 PRO with a practical cruise control function, which makes driving on long, monotonous routes much more relaxing!
The other functions of your e-scooter are not affected in any way by the Tuning Set 2.
Important: This is the original Mountain Tuning Set, which includes the Hobbywing controller. Other sets and controllers with the UNI Scooter app can irreparably damage the scooter.

After the renovation the ePowerFun Stop using the app! The use of the ePowerFun The app can irreversibly destroy the tuning function, as the ePF app overwrites the software on the display! This process cannot be reversed! In this case, we cannot accept returns, and a new set must be purchased. If the maximum speed is no longer adjustable and limited when using the UNI Scooter app on an Android smartphone in park mode, this limitation can be removed using the UNI Scooter app on an iOS smartphone. Using the UNI Scooter app may make different functions available than with the ePF app.
Note: if you Mountain Tuning If you use a controller, you'll need to use a different app for your e-scooter, namely the free UNI Scooter app (available for Apple and Android). This offers several advantages:
- You can set the maximum speed to an individual value, from 6 km/h up to a brisk 31 km/h (the actual achievable speed always depends on certain additional factors, such as rider weight). If you're feeling a little unsure and want to slowly approach 31 km/h, you can initially increase the top speed moderately, e.g., to 24-25 km/h, etc.
- Reset with a double click. The UNI Scooter app allows you to set 3 different modes: Factory Eco at 12 km/h, Normal at 25 km/h and Sport with a top speed of 31 km/h. You can easily switch between modes by double-clicking on the display. The app can be used to reduce the maximum speed in Sport mode as desired. In this case, the speeds in the other modes are also reduced accordingly – this means that if you set Sport mode to (for example) 25 km/h, you will drive at a maximum of 20 km/h in Normal mode and 9 km/h in Eco mode. This means that if you have set Sport mode to 25 km/h, you can quickly switch to Normal mode with a double-click in an emergency and then only drive at a maximum speed of 20 km/h.
- The Cruise control function (Cruise Control) can only be activated via the app.
installation:
The MTC Set 2 consists of a display with Bluetooth module (establishes the connection with the UNI Scooter app) and an 18A controller for 10 inch wheels.
For installation, the original controller of the ePF-1 PRO scooter must be removed and replaced by the Mountain Tuning Controller needs to be replaced. This isn't really difficult and, with a little technical skill, can easily be done yourself. First, you need to unscrew the base plate of the ePF-1 PRO scooter and remove the existing controller. Then, you need to replace the Mountain Tuning Attach the controller – simply secure it with two screws and connect it to the corresponding plugs. Please note the illustration below!
If you have a 2021 ePF-1 PRO e-scooter, you will also need to replace the old display with the Mountain Tuning Replace the display. This is necessary so that you can connect to the UNI Scooter app (this is not possible with the original 2021 display). Only with the app can you use the cruise control and individually adjust the maximum speed.
Please keep in mind: By installing the Mountain Tuning Product MTC Set 2, the maximum speed of your ePF-1 PRO e-scooter can be manipulated. This will invalidate your e-scooter's operating license in Germany. However, you can use the tuning tool in regions where higher maximum speeds are permitted, for example, in some other countries (in Germany, according to the Small Electric Vehicles Ordinance, a maximum speed of 20 km/h applies to e-scooters). Please always observe the local laws in each country.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
