With a groundbreaking torque of 108 Nm, 700 W peak power and 350% maximum thrust, the Rocky Mountain Powerplay Dyname 4.0 motor can be described as a true powerhouse. This drive is particularly well-suited to the specific requirements of e-MTBs.
Unfortunately, the enormous power of the Dyname 4.0 engine is significantly limited by the preset 25 km/h speed limit. And this is exactly where the MTT 4.0 comes in Mountain Tuning Tool comes into play – once connected, this tool completely removes the speed limit, allowing you to drive much faster with full motor support.
Important: The MTT 4.0 is the best tuning chip for the best E-MTB.
In the area of road traffic regulations, the use of tuning tools such as the MTT is not permitted, but in private, enclosed areas you can finally use it to the full potential of your Dyname 4.0 engine.
Connection in the top tube
The MTT is a module that must be connected between the motor and the display (see installation instructions). The motor doesn't need to be opened for this, as the module is inserted into the top tube below the display (the back of the module has a self-adhesive pad for securing it). Once you connect the module, the 25 km/h speed limit is automatically lifted, and you can ride much faster with 100% motor assistance.
The tuning is activated as soon as you Rocky Mountain You turn on your e-bike – the tuning cannot be turned off. Of course, you can remove the MTT tuning module at any time if you want to restore your bike to its original condition. The speed will then be limited to 25 km/h, just like before.
Important: Despite the MTT 4.0 tuning module being installed, your e-bike display and system will continue all data correct (current speed, battery, total mileage, etc.). The MTT chip is fully integrated into your Rocky Mountain Bike with your Dyname 4 Motor integrated.
installation instructions
Here we explain how to install the MTT module:
Unscrew the display on the top tube and remove it.
Disconnect the connector with the green cable under the display.
Connect the module as follows:
-Module male green with display female green.
-Module female green with down tube cable male green.
Remove the plastic cover of the double-sided adhesive tape under the module and stick the tool into the top tube.
Reattach the display to the top tube.
That's it – your e-bike is tuned and there's no speed limit anymore. You can now hit the ground running!
Very important: Please make sure that you connect the MTT module correctly. If the connection is incorrect, the e-bike may function correctly, but it won't be able to provide assistance above 25 km/h. The following illustrations show you how to do it correctly:

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not availabe for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
