How it works
- After placing your order, you will receive a license code and a link to the website where you can activate your e-scooter via email.
- Open a Bluetooth-enabled browser on your smartphone (e.g. Bluefy for iOS or WebBLE for Android).
- Turn on your scooter and activate Bluetooth.
- Open the activation link you received from us via email.
- Connect to your scooter and enter the license code ("Unlock").
- After just a few minutes the process is complete and your e-scooter is tuned!
Activation code to activate the tuning
After switching on the e-scooter, your e-scooter is always from, the speed limit is active. To activate the tuning (=remove the limit), an activation code must always be entered first using the scooter's controls.
Depending on the e-scooter model, there are two different variants:
X-times full brake left, then x-times full brake right (e.g. with the Max G3)
or
Pull the brake fully x times, then press the accelerator fully x times (e.g. with the Max G30)
It is important that you observe a certain rhythm when operating the controls to activate the tuning:
-Please do not press the brake and accelerator too quickly.
-Hold the brake and accelerator for about 1 second each.
-Always leave a pause of about 1 second between presses.
Once the tuning has been successfully activated, you'll see this via the speed indicator on the display; on some models, you'll also hear a confirmation beep. There will then be no more speed limits, and you can drive much faster than before!
To deactivate the tuning, simply turn off the e-scooter. When you turn the scooter back on, the tuning will be activated again. fromThe scooter now has its normal handling characteristics back. The tuning must first be reactivated using one of the activation codes listed above.

Important note on compatibility
The NBT Unlock Key only works with the original Ninebot controller and the original Ninebot dashboardThe system assumes that no other tuning measures are installed – including no additional tuning chip. Smooth activation is only possible if the vehicle has not been modified from the factory.
Important note: Firmware updates from the scooter manufacturer are performed at your own risk. Our development team continuously adapts the NBT tuning firmware—a clear advantage over purely Ninebot tuning chips. However, (temporary) incompatibilities or functional limitations may occur after manufacturer updates. Tuning means optimizing an existing system; a complete functional guarantee in advance is therefore never possible.

Legal notice
The use of a tuned scooter on public roads is not permitted. Operation is only permitted on private property. Registration, insurance, and, if applicable, a driver's license are required if the vehicle is classified as a moped after tuning. The responsibility lies with the user.

What happens during a scooter update?
If the manufacturer releases a firmware update, the unlocking may be reversible. We're constantly working on adjustments.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not availabe for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery takes 1-3 business days within Germany. In exceptional cases, it can take up to 8 business days. Delivery times outside Germany may take longer. Please understand that due to high demand, some products may experience longer delivery times.

Shipping:
Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value:
The minimum order value is €25. Only above this amount are advance payment, PayPal, and bank transfer available as payment methods.
Maximum order value:
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is €1.000. The maximum order value within the EU is €12.500.
Payment in advance via bank transfer:
Please transfer the total amount, including your order number, to our account, which was communicated to you in the confirmation email. Please note that transfers within Germany can take up to three business days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria, usually reach us very quickly. Transfers from other countries can take slightly longer on average.

At the end of the ordering process, you will be redirected to the PayPal page. There you can initiate your payment. Once the PayPal transaction is complete, your order status will change in the shop. The goods will then be shipped as soon as possible.
