Polini for Bosch Classic+ Line
With the Polini Hi-Speed Tuning Module you can easily remove the motor support of e-bikes with Bosch Classic+ drive from 25 km/h.
Installing the module is very easy and can be done at home in just a few minutes, even by non-technical people. The module's connectors fit directly into the original connectors. The module is self-regulating, so no adjustments are necessary. A separate battery is not required for the tuning module.
The special thing about the Polini tuning module is that it can be easily activated/deactivated using a magnet that is included and simply needs to be attached to the outside of the engine.
Important: When tuning is activated, the display only shows half of the actual speed and kilometers traveled.
POLINI Installation instructions for Bosch Classic+ drives
- Place the Polini tuning module and the black sensor on the double-sided tape. Trim the edges to size. Apply the resulting double-sided tape to the module and sensor.
- Remove the pedal using an M22 x 1 puller. If there is a chain guard, remove it as well.
- Unscrew the plastic threaded ring (ATTENTION left-hand thread!) and remove the plastic housing.
- Disconnect the connector from the Bosch Classic+ motor and plug it into the Polini module (A). Then connect the Polini module connector to the Bosch motor (B). The connectors can only be plugged in one way – but make sure they are fully and correctly inserted.
- Now you need to clean the inside of the housing of any dirt and dust. This is important so that the double-sided adhesive tape can adhere properly. Next, firmly glue the Polini module between the ribs of the housing. The black sensor must then be attached to the outside of the housing with the double-sided adhesive tape, at the same height as the Polini module was attached to the inside.
- Reinstall the plastic housing, the sprocket and any chain guard.
- To turn on the Polini module, simply attach the included magnet to the black sensor. The tuning will then be activated immediately. To deactivate the tuning, simply remove the magnet.
Please note:
-If the dashboard is turned on using the magnet attached to the sensor and the Polini module is active, a speed between 9 and 12 km/h will be displayed for a few seconds. Activation and deactivation also works without turning the e-bike on and off.
-With some e-bike models, a speed of 50 km/h may not be reached due to limitations imposed by the installed gears.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.
