PearTune MSO 3.0 StillOn for Shimano EP8 / EP8 RS / EP800
Tuning tool to remove the speed limit of Shimano EP-8 motors (“MSO” = “Max Speed Off”). This ensures a significant Plus of driving fun!
At the PearTune MSO is a tuning module or chip that must be connected to the connectors on the engine.
Please note that this is the "StillOn" version – this means the tuning is always active as soon as you turn on the e-bike. This version is intended for e-bikes. without Light function or without Display.
If you have a Shimano e-bike with light function, please select the "Normal" A variation of this tuning tool. You then have the option to turn the tuning on and off at any time using the light button.
The PearTune The module simply needs to be connected between the magnetic speed sensor and the motor ("plug and play"). After installation, the module configures itself; you don't need to do anything else. Once the module is installed, the tuning automatically activates as soon as you turn on the e-bike and cannot be turned off (=speed limit is permanently removed). Note: The red cable leading out of the module has no function in this "Still On" version and can be ignored.
After installing the PearTune Chips. The e-bike display will show the correct speed up to a speed of approximately 23 km/h, after which the displayed speed will be "frozen." This means that approximately 23-25 km/h will always be displayed, even if you're actually riding significantly faster.
Accordingly, the total kilometers are not displayed correctly.

This tuning module is only compatible with the following Shimano STEPS motors:
-EP8 / EP800
-EP8 RS
ATTENTION: There is a new Shimano software update version 4.30 (approximately July 2024). It is currently NOT certain whether this tuning module is compatible with it. We are currently testing this. This means: If your Shimano e-bike is equipped with software version 4.30, you should wait a while before ordering until we can confirm compatibility.
ATTENTION: NOT compatible with EP6 and EP801 engines! In this case, please use the "PearTune MSO 3.0 for Shimano EP801/EP6" choose.

Tips:
Before you PearTune If you install the module in a brand new e-bike, you should first ride the bike for at least 1 km.
The manufacturer expressly advises against software updates, as the tuning may no longer function properly afterwards.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery takes 1-3 business days within Germany. In exceptional cases, it can take up to 8 business days. Delivery times outside Germany may take longer. Please understand that due to high demand, some products may experience longer delivery times.

Shipping:
Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value:
The minimum order value is €25. Only above this amount are advance payment, PayPal, and bank transfer available as payment methods.
Maximum order value:
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is €1.000. The maximum order value within the EU is €12.500.

Please transfer the total amount, including your order number, to our account, which was communicated to you in the confirmation email. Please note that transfers within Germany can take up to three business days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria, usually reach us very quickly. Transfers from other countries can take slightly longer on average.
