PearTune MSO 3.0 for Shimano
The most sophisticated version of this popular tuning module to date, now also compatible with the very latest Shimano drives and updates (version 4.7.0 or higher). After installation, the PearTune 3.0 MSO completely removes the 25 km/h speed limit, allowing your Shimano motor to finally unleash its full potential. You'll see: Riding an e-bike without a speed limit is twice as fun!
This tuning module has the advantage of being easy to install. After installation, the tuning automatically activates as soon as you turn on the e-bike. Afterwards, the tuning can be deactivated or reactivated at any time by pressing the light button ("Light off - tuning on, light on - tuning off"). If your e-bike doesn't have a light button (or the light function isn't activated), you can PearTune MSO 3.0 can also be ordered in the so-called “Still On” version – in this case, the tuning is always active as soon as you turn on the bike (and cannot be turned off).
Important note: When tuning is enabled, the e-bike display will only show the actual speed up to approximately 22-25 km/h. At higher speeds, the speed display will be "frozen," meaning the same value is always displayed. The total mileage will also no longer be displayed correctly.
PearTune MSO 3.0 for Shimano – The advantages at a glance
- The 25 km/h speed limit is completely lifted (“MSO” stands for “Max Speed Off”).
- Easy installation: The PearTune The module simply needs to be connected between the motor and the magnetic speed sensor (“plug and play”). After installation, the module configures itself; you don’t need to do anything else. If you have a Shimano e-bike with an activatable light function and want to use the option to turn the tuning on and off via the light function, you will also need to install the red wire to the "+" port. PearTune For Shimano chips in the "Still On" version (for e-bikes without an activated light function), the red cable can be ignored, as the tuning switches on automatically after the bike is switched on (and cannot be deactivated anyway).
- The power supply is provided via the e-bike's light connection; you don't need a separate battery.
PearTune MSO 3.0 for Shimano – Improvements over previous models:
- This module also works with the very latest Shimano drivetrains (2020 model) and the latest software upgrades (version 4.8.0). All tests were successful, and no error codes were generated.

PearTune MSO 3.0 for Shimano – Compatibility
Typically, this PearTune Module is compatible with the following Shimano e-bike drives:
E8000, E7000, E6100, E6101, E6001, E6002, E6010, E6012, E6020, E5000. No error codes were generated for any of these engines.
Compatible with all displays available for the drives mentioned above.
The PearTune MSO 3.0 is even compatible with newer Shimano software versions (version 4.7.0 or higher).
ATTENTION: There is a new Shimano software update version 4.30 (approximately July 2024). It is currently NOT certain whether this tuning module is compatible with it. We are currently testing this. This means: If your Shimano e-bike is equipped with software version 4.30, you should wait a while before ordering until we can confirm compatibility.
Please keep in mind:
The PearTune MSO 3.0 for Shimano is available in two versions:
- There is the “normal” variant, where the tuning can be switched on and off using the light button or the light function in the menu (“light off = tuning on, light on = tuning off”).
- Then there's the "Still On" version, where the tuning is always active as soon as you turn on the e-bike. This version is intended for Shimano e-bikes without an activatable light function or without a light button at all. Tip: You can have your Shimano e-bike's light function activated by your e-bike dealer using special diagnostic tools (the "Still On" version also works perfectly on bikes with an activatable light function). Alternatively, this is also possible with certain smartphone apps.
Tips:
Before you PearTune If you install the module in a brand new e-bike, you should first ride the bike for at least 1 km.
The manufacturer expressly advises against software updates, as the tuning may no longer function properly afterwards.
This tuning tool is made in the Czech Republic.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
