PearTune MSO 3.0 Normal for Shimano Di2 E5000 to E8000
The PearTune MSO 3.0 removes the preset 25 km/h speed limit of e-bikes with Shimano drive and electronic Di2 shifting. This allows you to finally enjoy the full power of your Shimano e-bike and Driving fun without limits enjoy – “MSO” therefore stands for nothing other than “Max Speed Off”!
When you turn on the e-bike, the tuning is automatically activated (speed limit is removed). While on the move, you can turn the tuning on and off at any time by briefly pressing the light button (or using the light function in the menu). The display indicates whether the tuning has been activated or deactivated (if your e-bike does not have a light button or the light function is not enabled, simply select the “Still On” Variant – with this version the tuning remains permanently active as soon as you switch on the e-bike).
If the light function of your Shimano e-bike is not activated, you can have it activated at any time by specialized Shimano dealers.
Please keep in mind: When tuning is enabled, the e-bike display will only show the actual speed up to approximately 22-25 km/h. At higher speeds, the speed display will "freeze," so the same value is always displayed. The total mileage will also no longer be displayed correctly.

Simply use GPS-enabled devices like your smartphone to display the correct speed and actual route while on the go. brackets for the handlebars you can find in our shop.
Mounting
The PearTune MSO 3.0 is a microcontroller-based module that must be connected to the motor (between the magnetic speed sensor and the motor). To do this, the motor cover must be temporarily removed. The connection to the motor is made using the original connectors. If you want to use the option to activate/deactivate tuning via the light function, you must also connect the red cable to the "+" port.
After installation, the module configures itself automatically; you don't need to do anything else.
You can do that PearTune You can remove the module at any time if you want to return the e-bike to its original condition. This will leave no trace on the e-bike.

ATTENTION: There is a new Shimano software update version 4.30 (approximately July 2024). It is currently NOT certain whether this tuning module is compatible with it. We are currently testing this. This means: If your Shimano e-bike is equipped with software version 4.30, you should wait a while before ordering until we can confirm compatibility.

Tips:
Before you PearTune If you install the module in a brand new e-bike, you should first ride the bike for at least 1 km.
The manufacturer expressly advises against software updates, as the tuning may no longer function properly afterwards.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery takes 1-3 business days within Germany. In exceptional cases, it can take up to 8 business days. Delivery times outside Germany may take longer. Please understand that due to high demand, some products may experience longer delivery times.

Shipping:
Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value:
