PearTune MSO 4.0 for Bosch e-bikes
The best version of the popular PearTune module, now with many interesting additional functions. PearTune MSO is a proven tuning tool that allows you to completely remove the 25 km/h speed limit of e-bike motors – consequently, "MSO" also stands for "Max Speed Off." All this while maintaining the correct km/h reading on the display. But the new PearTune 4.0 can do much more: For the first time, there is the option to individually adjust the maximum speed using the + and – buttons on the display. A truly unique feature of this tuning tool is the “Chip lock” Function. This feature makes the module virtually invisible, so no one can detect that a tuning tool has been installed (i.e., the e-bike and display function normally; unlocking is only possible using a specific key combination).
The PearTune MSO 4.0 is a module that must be connected to the motor (between the motor and the display, and between the motor and the magnetic speed sensor). For particularly easy installation, the module is equipped with original connectors ("plug & play").
This tuning tool is not only compatible with the new Bosch 2020 / 2021 Gen4 drives (with anti-tuning software), but also backwards compatible with most older Bosch e-bike motors (Gen2 and Gen3)!

PearTune MSO 4.0 for Bosch – Features at a glance
- Complete abolition of speed limits.
- Maximum speed can be individually adjusted: For the first time, the level of maximum motor support can be individually adjusted using the + and – buttons in 1 km/h increments.
- Correct speed display on the display, even with active tuning.
- Chip lock (“Lock the Chip” function): A feature that makes the tuning module virtually invisible. If the chip lock is activated using the + and - buttons on the control panel, the tuning chip is locked by software, so no one can detect that a tuning tool has been installed on the e-bike. This means that the e-bike and display will function normally, and the tuning can no longer be activated. Re-unlocking is only possible with a specific key combination. The tuning will then function normally again.
- Chip activation: The tuning chip can be turned on or off at any time by briefly pressing the WALK button or by quickly pressing the + and – buttons twice (long press on the buttons for COBI). When turning the chip on or off, the display briefly shows whether the tuning has actually been activated or deactivated.
- No error code generation (according to the manufacturer).
- Tuning status when switching on: At the new PearTune 4.0 you can set whether the tuning should be automatically ON or OFF after switching on the e-bike.
- Chip Reset: If you want to replace the speed sensor or use the tuning chip on a different e-bike, you can reset the chip. You can restore the factory settings or, alternatively, keep the chip settings.
- Addition of the correct kilometers driven: When tuning is activated, the actual distance traveled is no longer displayed while driving. Now you can configure how the missing kilometers should be recalculated or added—for example, only when stopping or as a supplement during driving and when stopping, etc.
- Switch between NORMAL version and STILL ON version possible (with the STILL ON version, the tuning is always active as soon as you switch on the e-bike).
- No separate battery required (Power is supplied via the display connector).
- Plug & Play: The module was equipped with original connectors for easy installation.
- Small & light: The module is very small and therefore easy to install. It weighs just 12g.

Does your Bosch e-bike have a round plug (as shown here), you have the correct Tuning module selected. If your Bosch e-bike does not have either of these plugs, you either do NOT have a Bosch e-bike, or you have an e-bike with the old Gen1 drive (Classic Line).

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery takes 1-3 business days within Germany. In exceptional cases, it can take up to 8 business days. Delivery times outside Germany may take longer. Please understand that due to high demand, some products may experience longer delivery times.

Shipping:
Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.

Maximum order value:
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is €1.000. The maximum order value within the EU is €12.500.
Payment in advance via bank transfer:

Please note that transfers within Germany can take up to three business days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria, usually reach us very quickly. Transfers from other countries can take slightly longer on average.
