PearTune MSO 4.0 for Bafang M200, M410, M500, M510 with CAN Bus
A tuning tool specifically for e-bikes with Bafang M200, M410, M500, and M510 CAN bus drives. Unlike conventional PearTune Modules offer the PearTune 4.0 has significantly more features, so you can benefit from even more tuning options.
The actual core function of the PearTune MSO 4.0, of course, still removes the 25 km/h speed limit. What's special about the 4.0 version, however, is that you can even set the maximum speed to a desired value. This is done conveniently via the e-bike's control buttons; you don't need a PearTune Module neither PC nor smartphone.
An original feature is the Chip lock A function that allows the tuning to be made virtually invisible if necessary, conveniently via the buttons on the control unit. In this case, the e-bike functions normally, and the tuning can temporarily no longer be activated. Outsiders cannot then detect that a tuning module has been installed.
Correct driving data
Another advantage: Even with active tuning, the e-bike display continues to show correct values (current pace, average and maximum speed, distance traveled, etc.).
Mounting
The PearTune MSO 4.0 is a module that must be connected to the engine. To do this, the engine cover must be removed briefly. After installation, the module configures itself; you don't need to do anything else. It requires its own battery. PearTune not, because the power supply is provided by the e-bike battery.
Tuning can be switched on and off
You can activate/deactivate tuning at any time – either by long-pressing the light button twice or by pressing the + and – buttons. A brief display indicates whether tuning is on or off.
Please note:
When you this PearTune If you want to install the module into a brand new Bafang e-bike, you must first ride the bike for at least 1 km before installing the tuning tool.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.
