The PearTune Compared to simpler versions, MSO 4.0 V2 offers a significantly expanded range of functions. This makes it particularly suitable for drivers who not only want to go faster, but also value control, flexibility, and intuitive operation.
Individual setting of the maximum speed: The level of maximum motor assistance can be adjusted directly via the control buttons in 1 km/h increments.
Chip lock function: The module can be locked via a software key combination. In this state, the e-bike operates inconspicuously as in its original state, and the tuning cannot be temporarily activated.
Individual activation code: A custom activation code can be set via the service menu.
Adjustable tuning status upon power-on: You can specify whether the tuning should be automatically ON or OFF after the e-bike is started.

You don't need a PC or smartphone to operate the tuning. The module can be activated or deactivated directly via your e-bike's control buttons at any time.
Activation takes place – depending on the software version – via the WALK Button or via keyboard shortcuts such as ++--, +-+-, --++ or -+-+.
The display briefly indicates the status:
about 19 km / h = Tuning active
about 12 km / h = Tuning disabled
Correct speed remains readable
Once the tuning is activated, your e-bike display will show up to 22,9 km/h The actual speed is displayed correctly.
At higher speeds, the actual speed remains readable – but via the second digit and the decimal place of the display.

Mounting
The PearTune MSO 4.0 V2 is a module that runs between Motor and speed sensor and between Motor and display It is installed. To gain access to the necessary connectors, the engine cover must be temporarily removed.

Important: This module is not compatible with e-bikes that have a Rim magnets / Valve magnets These sensors are located deeper in the system and cannot be processed properly by this module.

To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
