This tuning tool for Specialized The 1.1 SL & 1.2 SL e-bike drives offer a particularly wide range of optimization options. The core function, of course, is unlocking the e-bike, which simply means removing the 25 km/h speed limit (MSO = "Max Speed Off"). Furthermore, the top speed can even be set to a custom value.
The tuning can be switched on and off at any time using the e-bike's control buttons. Even when tuning is active, the e-bike display shows the correct speed
This version of the PearTune 4.0 tuning module comes with high-quality Original plugsThe module must be installed in the engine compartment and connected to the appropriate connectors.
Since the power supply comes from the e-bike, the module does not require its own battery.
PearTune 4.0 for Specialized 1.1 / 1.2 SL with original connectors – Features at a glance
-25 km/h speed limit is lifted.
-E-Bike display shows correct values even when tuning is active (current speed).
-Maximum speed adjustable: The maximum assisted speed can be set to a custom value (from 26 km/h upwards) by pressing the + and – buttons. After 10 seconds of inactivity, the last selected speed is automatically saved.
-Chip activation: By default, the tuning can be switched on and off at any time by briefly pressing the WALK button or with the + and - buttons.
-Chip activation: Selection of the buttons with which the tuning can be activated/deactivated (e.g. using the LIGHT button, WALK button or + & - buttons).
-Chip lock: When the chip lock is activated, the tuning can no longer be activated with any key. This can prevent unauthorized access to the tuning.
-Start of the chip: You can specify whether the tuning chip should initially be INACTIVE or automatically ACTIVE when the e-bike is switched on (permanently or switchable off).
-Addition of the correct mileage: When driving with the tuning chip activated, the distance traveled no longer matches the actual distance driven. However, you can update the correct mileage, and you can specify the calculation method yourself, e.g., by refueling while driving and while stationary, or only when stopped, etc.
-Chip reset: If you want to install the tuning chip in a different e-bike, or if you replace the speed sensor, a chip reset must be performed. This can retain the old settings; alternatively, the chip can also be reset to the default settings.
-Chip software version information: The current software version of the chip can be displayed on the display.
Reset
If necessary, a reset can be performed. To do so, proceed as follows:
-Set the highest support level.
-19 x press the following keys: - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + - + -
-Now the number 19 should appear on the display.
-And a few seconds later the number 1 or 11 appears.
-Immediately at this moment, ONE more press on the button - be executed.
-This print changes the number 1 or 11 to either number 2 or 12.
-Now wait a moment until 0 (Zero) appears - this completes the reset!

To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.
