PearTune MSO 3.0 for Specialized 1.1 (Gen1), 1.2, 1.3, 1.2E and 1.2S engines
This tuning tool lifts the 25 km/h speed limit of Specialized E-bikes with the motor versions 1.1 (Gen1), 1.2, 1.3, 1.2E and 1.2S completely off – "MSO" stands for nothing other than "Max Speed Off". This means, thanks to PearTune you can finally unlock the full potential of your Specialized Use e-bikes and ride much faster than before with full motor support!
NORMAL / DISPLAY: Tuning can be easily switched on and off with the WALK button (or alternatively with the + - buttons), even while riding. After pressing the WALK button for the first time, a speed display of 9 km/h appears briefly – this signals that tuning has been activated and the speed limit is lifted. Pressing the WALK button again briefly displays a speed display of 2 km/h – this confirms that tuning has been lifted and motor assistance ends again at 25 km/h. If your e-bike has a WALK button, please select the "Display" version.
STILL ON: In this version, tuning is possible after installing the PearTune The module is always active as soon as you turn on the e-bike. The tuning only turns off when you turn the e-bike off again. The STILL ON version is intended for e-bikes without WALK or + buttons. Turning off the tuning is not possible, but of course you can remove the module at any time to restore the e-bike to its original state.
The speed is displayed correctly on the e-bike display up to approximately 22-25 km/h. Above this speed, the e-bike display shows the same speed value permanently.
Tip: We recommend GPS-enabled accessories such as bike computers or smartphones to display the correct speed while on the go. You can find practical smartphone mounts for the handlebars in our shop.
At the PearTune MSO is a module that must be permanently connected to the motor.
The tuning tool is powered by the e-bike battery; an extra battery is not required.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery takes 1-3 business days within Germany. In exceptional cases, it can take up to 8 business days. Delivery times outside Germany may take longer. Please understand that due to high demand, some products may experience longer delivery times.

Shipping:
Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value:
The minimum order value is €25. Only above this amount are advance payment, PayPal, and bank transfer available as payment methods.
Maximum order value:
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is €1.000. The maximum order value within the EU is €12.500.
Payment in advance via bank transfer:
Please transfer the total amount, including your order number, to our account, which was communicated to you in the confirmation email. Please note that transfers within Germany can take up to three business days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria, usually reach us very quickly. Transfers from other countries can take slightly longer on average.
Payment in advance via Paypal:
At the end of the ordering process, you will be redirected to the PayPal page. There you can initiate your payment. Once the PayPal transaction is complete, your order status will change in the shop. The goods will then be shipped as soon as possible.
