ScooterBoost - E-Scooter tuning module
With the ScooterBoost Tuning chip allows e-scooters with road approval from the brands Egret and The Urban from the 20 km/h limit. This includes the models Egret Ten V4 (with and without Power Update), Egret Eight V3 (with and without Power Update), The Urban #HMBRG, The-Urban #BRLN, The-Urban #RVLTN, and also the Egret Ten V4 36V and the new one The Urban xH1. The tuning module is connected to the vehicle via a short plug connection, which can be installed either between the throttle and the wiring harness (on the handlebars) or in the deck under the footboard between the wiring harness and the controller. Once the module is attached to the handlebars, it can be conveniently and quickly removed again—for example, to ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
Important: The ScooterBoost can now be used up to the latest firmware 9.3 on all specified Egret and The-Urban e-scooters. The converted Egret Ten V4 (from Egret Ten V3 to V4) version is now integrated. Also the The-Urban #HMBRG. Thus, all mentioned models of Egret and The-Urban are optimized.
Easy activation and deactivation on the display
The ScooterBoost Once installed, the chip can be activated and deactivated using a combination on the display and a defined key sequence (in the video, only the light button). The combination has been adjusted to prevent accidental switching while driving:
- The Activation happens as follows:
A) First level of support
B) Light on
C) Change to support level 5
D) Lights out
E) Result: Tuning on. - The Deactivation is also very simple:
Either I) switch the e-scooter off and on again, then the tuning is automatically deactivated again,
or II) select the first support level and press the “light off” button.
Note: If the light is already off in the first support level, it must first be switched on in order to receive the "light off" signal again.
Speeds of over 30 km/h realistic
In freewheel mode the Egret Ten V4 with ScooterBoost According to the latest tests, 38 km/h! The behavior is similar for all other models. The freewheel is independent of the motor and model and always reaches around 38 km/h. When driving, i.e., under load, speeds of up to over 30 km/h are quite realistic. No other solution can achieve this. ScooterBoost is the first professional e-scooter tuning module.
Maximum speed and performance data of the engines
The actual achievable top speed depends on many factors such as rider weight, gradients, wind, road surface, etc. And last but not least on the power of the engine:
Egret Ten V4: 500 watts continuous power, 800 watts peak power
Egret Ten V4 36V: 350 watts continuous power, 650 watts peak power
Egret Ten V3 converted to V4: 500 watts continuous power, 800 watts peak power
Egret Eight V3: 350 watts continuous power, 745 watts peak power
The-Urban #HMBRG: 350 watts continuous power, 650 watts peak power
The-Urban #BRLN: 350 watts continuous power, 560 watts peak power
The-Urban #RVLTN: 350 watts continuous power, 560 watts peak power
The Urban xH1: 350 watts continuous power, 560 watts peak power
Installation and removal: Easy installation of the ScooterBoost module
The installation of ScooterBoost Module is very simple: Starting from the throttle grip, loosen the casing (approx. 20 cm), open the relevant connection and then ScooterBoost between. Then close the casing again, or not. Uninstallation is then correspondingly easy.
Alternatively, you can ScooterBoost The module can also be installed in the deck. The cable harness under the running board is also ScooterBoost Chip open.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.
