The chip unlocks the factory 20 km/h speed limit, allowing you to ride much faster and more dynamically. The performance increase is immediately noticeable. Incidentally, the motor output itself is not changed; it simply fully utilizes the existing motor capacity. Installing the chip is child's play; and the necessary tools are conveniently included.

Tip: To ensure you can really use all the advantages of the tuning chip, we recommend optional update cable, which allows you to connect the Scooterboost and your PC/laptop. This gives you the option to configure the tuning yourself (the corresponding features will be gradually released starting in early 2025). You can also perform updates so that the tuning chip remains optimally compatible with future versions of the e-scooter firmware.

ScooterBoost Tuning Chip - the advantages at a glance:
-20 km/h speed limit is removed: By unlocking the system, you can ride much faster than before. Speeds of 25-30 km/h are achievable, depending on external factors such as rider weight, gradient, etc. If you have an update cable, you can even set the maximum speed yourself via PC/laptop.
-Easy activation: The tuning can be easily activated at any time with a simple key combination, in many cases, for example, by repeatedly applying the brakes in quick succession. The activation code may vary depending on the model; more detailed information can be found in the chip's manual.
-German maneuvers: For safety reasons, the tuning is always initially OFF when the e-scooter is turned on (maximum speed limited to the usual 20 km/h), and must first be turned on. If you have an update cable, you can also deactivate the German Maneuver via PC – the tuning will then be activated immediately as soon as the e-scooter is started up (so the speed limit remains permanently suspended).
-Easy installation: The installation of the ScooterBoost Chips is extremely simple. The chip is installed, invisible from the outside, in the handlebar of the e-scooter. To do this, you first have to disconnect the cable connections between the controller and the motor under the handlebar; then the ScooterBoost The chip is simply plugged in. Because the chip is designed to be particularly slim and compact, it has more than enough storage space in the handlebar. Sturdy plug-in connectors ensure a reliable connection. Installation can be completed quickly by yourself; no special technical skills or tools are required. There's no complicated configuration required either (plug & play).
-The tuning chip can be removed at any time without leaving any residue, so that the original condition of the scooter can be easily restored.
-The chip does not require its own battery; the power supply is provided by the e-scooter's battery.

Attention: All current firmware versions of the scooter are supported – even WITHOUT update cable.
Tip: If you have another Xiaomi e-scooter, look for another ScooterBoost Chip. The Xiaomi 4 Pro Gen1 differs from the Xiaomi 4 Pro Gen2 in that it has a total weight of 17 kg and no has indicators.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery takes 1-3 business days within Germany. In exceptional cases, it can take up to 8 business days. Delivery times outside Germany may take longer. Please understand that due to high demand, some products may experience longer delivery times.

Shipping:
Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.

The minimum order value is €25. Only above this amount are advance payment, PayPal, and bank transfer available as payment methods.
Maximum order value:
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is €1.000. The maximum order value within the EU is €12.500.
Payment in advance via bank transfer:
Please transfer the total amount, including your order number, to our account, which was communicated to you in the confirmation email. Please note that transfers within Germany can take up to three business days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria, usually reach us very quickly. Transfers from other countries can take slightly longer on average.

At the end of the ordering process, you will be redirected to the PayPal page. There you can initiate your payment. Once the PayPal transaction is complete, your order status will change in the shop. The goods will then be shipped as soon as possible.
