sIMPLEk Pro Nano for Bosch Smart System - Nano Edition
This tuning module lifts the 25 km/h speed limit of Bosch Smart System e-bikes. You even have the option to adjust the desired level of motor support in 1 km/h increments.
The special thing about the Nano Edition is that it Standard Version of the module with Stealth edition combined. In Stealth mode The maximum supported speed is limited, which reduces the risk of Bosch error messages. It is therefore significantly less likely that the Bosch drive's anti-tuning software will trigger. Stealth mode can be activated/deactivated at any time via the menu.
IMPORTANT: To avoid error message and tuning detection, this sIMPLEk Per module in delivery state to one Maximum speed of 40 km / h limited.
In the standard configuration, the tuning can be done when switching on the e-bike by Activation routine If this is not done, the e-bike will behave as it did in its original state.
By the way: The Simplek Pro module is a finished product – you need it not first difficult to assemble.
Actual speed remains readable
At the sIMPLEk The actual speed remains visible on the e-bike display for each module, even when tuning is activated. Up to 22 km/h, the speed is displayed normally; above this speed, the actual speed is displayed using the second digit and the decimal place. This has the advantage that the displayed speed always remains within a realistic range, even if you're actually riding faster. Here are a few examples:
A display of 22,9 km/h would correspond to 29 km/h in reality.
A display of 23,4 km/h would correspond to 34 km/h in reality.
A display of 24,2 km/h would correspond to 42 km/h in reality.
Etc ...
Important note: The actual speed remains readable (albeit via the second digit and the decimal place) only if you have not reduced the maximum speed limit. If you have set the maximum motor support level to a lower value than the maximum possible speed, you will have to subtract values mentally (see figure "sIMPLEk Nano speed setting”).
Correct total distance, maximum and average speed
The correct average speed If activated, is displayed briefly each time the button is held.
The distance travelled is automatically updated after one minute of standstill, so that after the end of the tour, maximum speed as well as distance and total kilometers are correct.
This requires a simple one-time calibration, which starts automatically upon initial use: The speedometer displays an increasing speed. As soon as approximately 10,0 km/h is reached, you must turn the e-bike off and then immediately turn it back on. The speedometer will then again display a speed increasing in small increments. Now you must turn the bike off at exactly 10,0 km/h. This completes the calibration.
sIMPLEk Pro for Bosch Gen4 Smart System - Nano Edition - Compatibility
This tuning tool is compatible with the Bosch Smart System Drive (BES3):
-Performance Line (CX) Smart System with conventional speed sensor.
Addendum: Compatible with Bosch Smart System Upgrade April 2025:
This tuning tool is, to our knowledge, also compatible with the Bosch Smart System upgrade from April 2025 (sometimes referred to as version "15.10.1" or "15.13.1"). You can identify the upgrade by the following software versions: Drive Unit Performance Line CX: 15.24.2 / LED Remote: 15.12.3 / Kiox 300: 15.10.0 / PowerTube 750: 15.10.1
Not compatible with Bosch e-bikes with rim magnet (magnet on the rear wheel valve).
Not compatible with Bosch e-bikes with ABS system.
Attention: Please do not perform any Bosch updates after installing and using a tuning program! Compatibility may no longer be guaranteed.
Note: If you have a conventional Bosch Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 or Gen4 E-bike drive (Classic Line, Active Line (Plus), Performance Line (CX) incl. Gen4, Cargo Line), please select the "sIMPLEk Pro for Bosch - Nano Edition".
Important note:
Due to the tightened tuning detection in the latest Bosch firmware versions, it is advisable to reduce the motor assistance limit when using tuning continuously. However, this means that the actual speed is no longer easily readable in tuning mode – values must be subtracted mentally. The actual speed remains readable only (via the second digit and the decimal place) if the maximum speed limit has not been reduced. See the following table:

Tip: Bosch Smart System E-Bikes (BES3) can be easily identified by the plug on the charging cable.
SQUARE plug = Bosch Smart System BES3 (Gen4) + Bosch Gen5:

ROUND plug = Bosch Gen2, Gen3 & Gen4:

Does your Bosch E-Bike charging cable have a square plug (as shown above), you have the correct Tuning module selected (if the bike does not have ABS and a rim magnet). If your Bosch e-bike does not have either of these connectors, you either do NOT have a Bosch e-bike, or you have an e-bike with the old Gen1 drive (Classic Line).

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.
