SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning for Shimano E8000, E7000, E6100, E5000 (with app)
A tuning chip that removes the 25 km/h speed limit on Shimano E-series e-bikes. This allows for much faster riding with full motor support. Unlike the "normal" SpeedBox 1.2 for Shimano, this “B.Tuning” version is compatible with the SpeedBox The app offers a variety of advantages—for example, you can adjust the assistance speed to suit your needs. The connection between the chip and the smartphone app is wireless via Bluetooth.
After installing the SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning Chips, the e-bike display will only show the correct speed up to a speed of 23 km/h. This is not a problem, however, as you can easily access the actual data via the SpeedBox We therefore recommend that you simply turn on your smartphone using a special brackets to the handlebars. This way you'll always have all the riding parameters in view.
Compared to previous versions, the new SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning has been completely redesigned, including a new design and new hardware and firmware. Also new is Bluetooth technology for connecting the e-bike and smartphone app.
Note: If you have a Shimano E-Bike without a free E-Tube connection (this is the case with models with Di2 gears, for example), please select the variant "+E-Tube Port"This is usually the case with Shimano e-bikes with one of the following components:
- E5000 engine
- Satellite system ON/OFF switch
- Di2 derailleur
Tuning can be switched on and off
The tuning chip can be connected via the SpeedBox App or alternatively via the light button on the e-bike. When the light is turned off, the tuning is active and you can ride at unlimited speed (light off = tuning on). If you turn the light back on, the tuning is deactivated and the motor support ends again at 25 km/h (light on = tuning off). Brand new in this version is the option to activate the double-click function in the app (only for displays that have a light button). This function has the advantage that the light function becomes independent of the tuning: By double-clicking the light button, the lights flash and the tuning is activated. By double-clicking again, the tuning is deactivated and the e-bike functions as normal again.

Installation
The SpeedBox 1.2 B.Tuning is a chip that must be connected to the engine. For installation, the plastic cover must be temporarily removed to access the corresponding connectors.
In the production of SpeedBox Chips only use original connectors for the easiest possible installation. With the help of the installation instructions and the corresponding graphics, you can also install the tool yourself:

If you want to restore the e-bike to its original condition, the chip can be removed at any time.
Important note: if you SpeedBox If you want to install the chip into a brand new e-bike, you must first ride the bike for at least 1 km before starting the chip for the first time.
Tip: Before you order this tuning tool, you should first SpeedBox Download the app to your smartphone. Try the demo version and see if the app works on your phone (Bluetooth 4.0 or higher required).
If the app does not work on your smartphone, you can also use the normal SpeedBox 1.2 for Shimano use (not app-enabled).

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
