The SpeedBox 1.5 B.Tuning is a specially developed tuning solution for e-bikes with Bosch Performance Line SX engine im Bosch Smart System (BES3), provided the e-bike is equipped with Rim magnet is equipped. The app is particularly helpful with Bosch SX systems that have active tuning, because real-world driving data isn't displayed correctly on the screen. The app lets you keep track of the actual values at all times.
Requirement: Your smartphone should support Bluetooth 4.0 or higher.
Setting the maximum speed
The maximum support speed can be set particularly conveniently via the SpeedBox Set the app. Alternatively, the adjustment can also be made directly on the e-bike.
To do this, you switch the support modes in the following order:
TURBO → eMTB → TOUR+ → ECO → TOUR+ → eMTB → TURBO
The currently set speed limit will then be displayed. This can then be changed via the WALK function or by a 360° rotation of the rear wheel to be changed.
The display corresponds to the set maximum value, for example:
2.5 km/h = 25 km/h
3.0 km/h = 30 km/h
3.5 km/h = 35 km/h
After a short period of inactivity, the last selected setting is automatically saved.

After installation, the tuning can be activated either directly via the app or manually on the e-bike.

Important instructions

To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.
