The SpeedBox 3.1 is a powerful tuning solution for TQ HPR40, HPR50 and HPR60 e-bike motorsThe module removes the factory-set 25 km/h speed limit and ensures that motor assistance is maintained even at higher speeds.

The tuning can be activated directly via the e-bike's control buttons:

The display briefly shows 99 km/h – this indicates that the tuning is active and the limit has been lifted.

Setting the maximum speed
The maximum support speed can be set directly on the e-bike:

The current speed limit will be displayed after this sequence.
The adjustment is made by:
Turning the rear wheel (each revolution = +5 km/h)
or keyboard shortcut WALK + ↑ ↓
The selected value is automatically saved after approximately five seconds.
Installation
The installation of the SpeedBox 3.1 is particularly easy compared to many other tuning modules and can be done by the user.
The module is connected directly to the motor and can be removed at any time to restore the e-bike to its original condition.
Important: New e-bikes should be inspected at least once before first use. 10 km without tuning be driven.
Note regarding error code 5401
The rarely occurring Error code 5401 In TQ systems, the problem is usually due to loose or incorrectly connected plug connections.
Suggestion:

Reconnect the module correctly
Restart e-bike
The error usually disappears after the correct connection is made.

To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.
