Activation and deactivation
The tuning can be controlled directly via the e-bike's controls:

After activation, the current speed limit is briefly displayed – this indicates that the tuning is active.
To deactivate, simply repeat the same process. The display RPM 25 confirms the return to the standard limitation.
When deactivated, the e-bike behaves completely like the original.
Set maximum speed
The desired maximum speed can be configured directly on the bike:
Mode sequence: Extreme → High → Mid → Low → Mid → High → Extreme
After the current limit is displayed, the setting is done by:
Rotate the rear wheel 180°
The display is done via RPM values:
15 RPM = 15 km/h
25 RPM = 25 km/h
30 RPM = 30 km/h
The last selected value is automatically saved after a few seconds.

The SpeedBox 3.0 is connected directly to the motor and integrated into the existing wiring. Thanks to the use of Original plugs The installation is safe and relatively easy to carry out.
The module can be removed at any time to restore the e-bike to its original condition.
Important: New e-bikes should be inspected at least once before first use. 10 km without tuning be driven.

To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters

Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.
