The SpeedBox 3.1 B.Tuning is a third-generation tuning module for selected Giant E-bikes with SyncDrive Pro motor (model year 2022) and RideControl GoThe module removes the factory-set 25 km/h speed limit and additionally enables the individual setting of the maximum supported speed.
Unlike the normal SpeedBox 3.1 is this B. Tuning version familiar with the SpeedBox App Compatible. This gives you access to additional comfort and safety features such as driving data analysis, engine lock, tuning control and the ability to hide the tuning.

The SpeedBox 3.1 B. Tuning can also be done in principle without an app The app can be used because the most important functions can alternatively be controlled via the buttons on the e-bike. However, the app significantly expands the range of functions and makes tuning noticeably more convenient.

Service
After installation, tuning can be easily done via the SpeedBox App or alternatively, control it directly via the e-bike's control buttons.
Activation: via the app or by briefly pressing the WALK button
Confirmation: Advertising 9,9 km/h on the display
Deactivation: again via the app or WALK button
Confirmation: Advertising 2,5 km/h on the display
After deactivation, the e-bike functions completely in its original state with a 25 km/h speed limit.
Tip: If your e-bike doesn't have a WALK button, you can alternatively tune it using the key combination + - + - can be activated and deactivated.
Set maximum speed
The maximum supported speed can be set either via the SpeedBox App or can be adjusted directly on the e-bike.
To manually adjust the setting, first switch the mode three steps down and then again three steps upThe display then shows the currently set speed limit.
The adjustment is made by:

After approximately five seconds of inactivity, the last displayed value is automatically saved.
Installation
The SpeedBox 3.1 B.Tuning is a module that connects directly to the engine. Thanks to color-coded connectors with matching coding, installation is relatively simple and can be done by the user with some technical understanding.
Switch off the e-bike and remove the battery
Gain access to the connectors on the motor
Disconnect the electrical connections from the motor to the speed sensor and from the motor to the display.
SpeedBox connect to the separate connectors
Reassembling an e-bike
Turn on the e-bike and activate the module.
The module can be removed at any time to restore the e-bike to its original condition.
Important note: If the chip goes into a completely new Giant Before installing an e-bike, at least one of the following should be done before the first activation: 1 km It can be driven without tuning.

This product is not approved for use on public roads. It may only be used on private property or for sporting purposes. Please observe the legal regulations in your country. Use is at your own risk.
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.

Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.
