Activation and deactivation
The SpeedBox 3.1 B. Tuning can be done particularly conveniently via the SpeedBox App Activate and deactivate. Alternatively, the control is also possible directly via the e-bike's control buttons.

Set maximum speed

Compatibility

The prerequisite is a 4-pin speed sensor.
The speed sensor connector has 4 pins. To check the number of pins, the engine cover must be removed and the speed sensor connector inspected.
Important: The SpeedBox 3.1 B. Tuning for Bafang is compatible with motors with CAN protocol compatible, however not with engines with UART protocol.
You can tell whether your system uses CAN or UART by the shape of the display connector. To do this, unplug the display connector and compare it to the following examples:

To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
