With the SpeedBox The 3.2 B.Tuning Chip lets you get the most out of your Yamaha e-bike motor. Its core function is the complete deactivation of the 25 km/h speed limit, allowing you to ride much faster with full motor assistance. There's also the option to set the desired maximum speed to a custom value.
This is the special “B.Tuning” variant, which also comes with the practical SpeedBox App compatible. This results in numerous useful additional features that make tuning even more convenient and comprehensive. For example, you have the option to monitor and record driving data.
The tuning settings can be easily configured via the app. However, it's not necessary to bring your phone with you on every ride, as the most important functions can also be controlled manually using the buttons on the display (activating tuning, etc.).
It is at SpeedBox 3.2 B.Tuning is the successor to the proven SpeedBox 3.0 B.Tuning Chips.
SpeedBox 3.2 B.Tuning - Features at a glance
- Unlocking: Complete abolition of the 25 km/h limit.
- Compatible with the SpeedBox App
- Vmax individually adjustable: The desired maximum speed can be easily set via the SpeedBox You can also set the speed manually: Starting from "High" mode, switch the mode down three levels, and then up three levels again. The current speed limit will then be displayed. You can now adjust the maximum speed in 5 km/h increments by briefly pressing the LIGHT button or by turning the rear wheel 360°. After five seconds of inactivity, the last displayed limit is automatically saved.
- Real values in the e-bike display: Even with active tuning, the e-bike display shows correct values, e.g. current speed, maximum and average speed, daily distance, range, etc.
- Tuning can be switched on and off: The tuning can be done at any time via SpeedBox Activate & deactivate the app. Manual activation is also possible: Simply press the LIGHT button and the speed limit is lifted, allowing you to ride much faster (the display briefly shows "99 km/h" for confirmation). To turn the tuning off, simply press the LIGHT button again, and the top speed is limited to 25 km/h again (the display briefly shows "25 km/h" for confirmation). The e-bike will then function normally again – as if no tuning chip were installed. On e-bikes without a traditional control panel, the tuning can also be turned on and off using the ↑↓↑↓ key combination.

SpeedBox App - Advantages at a glance
The SpeedBox The app significantly expands the chip's functionality and makes tuning even more convenient. The connection between the tuning chip and smartphone is wireless via Bluetooth.

-Hide tuning (if this function is activated, the tuning can no longer be switched on via the light button, but only via the app - this way the tuning cannot be discovered in principle).
-Perform motor diagnostics (display real technical data of your e-bike on your smartphone).
-Activate motor lock: The e-bike motor can be temporarily switched off via the app.
-New: For the first time there is now the option to Double-click function in the SpeedBox App. Enabling this function makes the lights independent of the tuning. Double-clicking the LIGHT button will flash the lights and activate the tuning. Double-clicking again will deactivate the tuning. The e-bike will then function as if no tuning chip were installed.
Our tip: Before placing an order, you should first check the SpeedBox Download the app and install it on your phone. Test the demo version and check if the app is fully functional on your smartphone. You can also familiarize yourself with all the app's gadgets in advance. To connect to the SpeedBox 3.2 chip, your phone must have at least Bluetooth 4.0 (or higher).
By the way: The SpeedBox App is for use of the SpeedBox Chips are not absolutely necessary, as the most important functions can also be controlled manually (tuning on and off / setting the Vmax). Mounting

Please note: To access the connectors on the motor, you must first remove a crank and the motor cover. Then, you must loosen the motor and temporarily lower it.

Important hints:
-Please DO NOT update the e-bike's software. The tuning may no longer work afterward!
-If you SpeedBox 3.2 B.If you want to install the tuning chip into a brand new e-bike, you must ride the e-bike for at least 10 km before starting the tuning chip for the first time.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
