Spider for Bosch Active Line Plus (2017) Engines
This assembly tool from Cyclus Tools can be used to install and remove the locknut nut on a Bosch electric motor. The tool features an integrated guide that securely screws it to the crank spindle. The tool is then connected to the toothing of the locknut nut using a rotating mechanism. When the nut is loosened, the now-tightened tool can exert high pressure. This is achieved not least by the toothing used. This toothing has a wider, larger toothing than previously used. This ensures that the positive-lock connection can transmit all required torques at all times.
For Bosch Active Line Plus (2017) Motors, operable with a “Snap.in puller” or a 32mm open-end wrench.
Important: This spider is only suitable if you already have a Crank puller but still has a Bosch Spider for Active engines you need.
You need this set to change your chainring.
The standard tools (which are not included in the set) you'll usually need are an 8mm Allen key, a 3mm Allen key, and a 20mm Torx screwdriver. This also depends on the crank puller you're using and already have, as well as your e-bike.
To operate the special tool (spider) you need a 32mm open-end wrench (a pipe wrench will also work).

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery takes 1-3 business days within Germany. In exceptional cases, it can take up to 8 business days. Delivery times outside Germany may take longer. Please understand that due to high demand, some products may experience longer delivery times.

Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
