With this update cable you can ScooterBoost Tuning chip for Egret Hey! 1, Egret Hey! 2, Egret Hey! 3 and Egret! 6 E-scooters can be individually configured and future-proofed as best as possible.
This update cable allows you to connect the tuning chip to your PC or laptop via USB. This gives you the option to customize the tuning settings to your specific needs (the corresponding features will be gradually released starting in early 2025). Most importantly, you have the option of installing new firmware via updates.
In short, the update cable extends the functionality of your ScooterBoost Tuning chips in many ways.

Update cable – advantages at a glance

-Install new firmware – make sure as best as possible that your ScooterBoost Chip remains compatible with future firmware versions of the scooters.
-Free updatesIf there are any incompatibilities with the tuning chip after an e-scooter update, ScooterBoost Suitable updates for the chip are available. These problems can usually be resolved this way. Installing the updates is easy and there are no costs involved.
Please note: Even installing updates on the chip can never provide an absolute guarantee that the chip's functionality won't be affected by future firmware updates for the e-scooter. However, the option of updating the chip with updates is the best way to be prepared for future manufacturer updates. This can therefore definitely be considered a milestone in the field of e-scooter tuning.
The following features will be gradually released from the beginning of 2025:
-Set activation code Specify which key combination you want to use to activate the tuning (depending on the e-scooter model, e.g. using the power button, brake or support levels).
-Adjust maximum speed (Vmax) individually.
-German Maneuver on and off: With this feature, you can specify whether the tuning should initially be ON or OFF when the e-scooter is switched on. German Maneuver ON: When the scooter is switched off, the tuning is deactivated – after restarting the scooter, the tuning is initially inactive (and must first be reactivated using a key combination). German Maneuver OFF: The chip always remains active, even after restarting the e-scooter.
The free ScooterBoost PC software will be available from the beginning of 2025. The update function will be available first, with the other features following gradually.
Note: The ScooterBoost Tuning Chip can also be used without the update cable, but the update cable is a very useful extension and the perfect accessory. Only with the update cable can the full potential of the ScooterBoost Really use chips.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery takes 1-3 business days within Germany. In exceptional cases, it can take up to 8 business days. Delivery times outside Germany may take longer. Please understand that due to high demand, some products may experience longer delivery times.

Shipping:
Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value:
The minimum order value is €25. Only above this amount are advance payment, PayPal, and bank transfer available as payment methods.
Maximum order value:
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is €1.000. The maximum order value within the EU is €12.500.
Payment in advance via bank transfer:
Please transfer the total amount, including your order number, to our account, which was communicated to you in the confirmation email. Please note that transfers within Germany can take up to three business days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria, usually reach us very quickly. Transfers from other countries can take slightly longer on average.
