Update cable for ScooterBoost for VMAX VX2 ST
With this update cable, the ScooterBoost Connect the tuning chip to your PC/laptop via USB. This allows you to install firmware updates as needed. Additionally, features that allow you to individually configure the chip's tuning settings will be gradually unlocked.
The update cable is an almost indispensable accessory for your ScooterBoost Chip, as it greatly expands the range of tuning functions.

Update cable – advantages at a glance
-Easy connection thanks to plug & play.
-Free updates / Install new firmware: After an e-scooter update, compatibility issues with the chip may occur. In this case, ScooterBoost Free updates for the chip are available. This way, we can best ensure that the ScooterBoost Chip remains compatible with future firmware variants of the VMAX VX2 ST e-scooter.
Please note: Even installing updates on the chip can never provide an absolute guarantee that the chip's functionality won't be affected by future firmware updates to the e-scooter. However, the option of updating the chip is the best way to be prepared for future updates from the manufacturer. This is definitely a milestone in e-scooter tuning.
Here are a number of features that in the future will be gradually activated:
-Set activation code You can use your PC to specify which key combination should be used to activate the tuning (depending on the e-scooter model, e.g. using the power button, brake or support levels).
-German Maneuver on and off: This feature allows you to specify whether the tuning should be ON or OFF when the e-scooter is switched on. German Maneuver ON: After restarting the scooter, the tuning is deactivated for safety reasons (and must be reactivated using a key combination). German Maneuver OFF: The chip always remains active, even after restarting the e-scooter—the speed limit is therefore permanently suspended.
-Set maximum supported speed.

Note: The ScooterBoost Tuning Chip can also be used without the update cable, but the update cable is a very useful extension and the perfect accessory. Only with the update cable will you be able to fully utilize the potential of the ScooterBoost Use tuning chips.

Due to different connectors, this update cable is NOT compatible with ScooterBoost Tuning chips for other e-scooter models.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not availabe for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery takes 1-3 business days within Germany. In exceptional cases, it can take up to 8 business days. Delivery times outside Germany may take longer. Please understand that due to high demand, some products may experience longer delivery times.

Shipping:
Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
Minimum order value:
The minimum order value is €25. Only above this amount are advance payment, PayPal, and bank transfer available as payment methods.
Maximum order value:
The maximum order value for orders outside the EU is €1.000. The maximum order value within the EU is €12.500.
Payment in advance via bank transfer:
Please transfer the total amount, including your order number, to our account, which was communicated to you in the confirmation email. Please note that transfers within Germany can take up to three business days. Transfers from abroad, especially from Austria, usually reach us very quickly. Transfers from other countries can take slightly longer on average.
Payment in advance via Paypal:
At the end of the ordering process, you will be redirected to the PayPal page. There you can initiate your payment. Once the PayPal transaction is complete, your order status will change in the shop. The goods will then be shipped as soon as possible.
