Compatible with all displays. So with Display A (side switch), Display B, Display C (Multi Switch), Display X, Interface.
NOT compatible with Yamaha PW, Yamaha PW-S2 & Yamaha PW-X3 (one VOLspeed Variant specifically for Yamaha PW-X3 / PW-S2 do you find here; a version specifically for the old Yamaha PW There is drive here).
Attention: Also NOT compatible with Yamaha Branded eBikes, e.g.: Yamaha Moro 07, Yamaha CrossCore RC, Yamaha Wabash RT, Yamaha Booster / Booster Easy (Note: A module compatible with Moro 07 can be found here).
The VOLspeed The module is installed invisibly on the drive motor from the outside. No cables need to be damaged or modified; the module is simply plugged in and is immediately ready for use. Note: To access the connectors, the motor cover must be temporarily removed (required tools: PW-SE / PW-ST / PW-TE: 3 & 6 mm Allen keys, ideally a torque wrench / PW-X: 3, 5 & 6 mm Allen keys, ideally a torque wrench, chainring wrench).
Neither a PC nor a smartphone is required for operation. All settings are conveniently configured via the e-bike display.
An interesting feature is the ability to set both the speed limit and the wheel circumference via the display. Furthermore, a so-called "Dynamic Mode" can be selected, in which the motor support stops less abruptly when the set maximum speed is reached. This makes for a much more comfortable ride.
In contrast to the complete removal of the speed limit, as is known from many other tuning tools, with this VOLspeed By slightly increasing the limit, e.g. to 32km/h, the module can still achieve a very sporty driving style with moderate battery consumption.
New in the third version of the module (V3) is the ability to set a personal activation code. Furthermore, no setup is required after installation; the module is immediately ready for use.
Note on bikes with InterfaceNote: This tuning module can also be used with the Interface X. In this case, the tuning settings and operating status are displayed via the battery LED indicator, allowing tuning without the need for an additional display or smartphone. An additional display is only required for the optional setting of a custom activation code or wheel circumference (an ANT+ LEV-compatible display that displays speed and total mileage is required).
Features
- New: Automatic initialization, ready for use immediately after installation.
- Tuning can be switched on or off using the arrow keys on the control panel.
- After switching on, the maximum and limiting speeds can be individually adjusted within a range of 25–45 km/h using the arrow keys. The last set value is saved.
- The tuning is always initially switched off after switching on the bike.
- A "softer throttle response" can be set (Dynamic mode). This significantly softens the otherwise very abrupt throttle response at the speed limit.
- New: Individual activation code can be set
- Adjustment of the wheel circumference possible.
- Correct display of speed, distance traveled, as well as average and maximum speed at all times.
- The remaining range calculation takes into account (even with active tuning) not only the battery charge level and the selected support level but also the current riding style/battery consumption.
- The e-bike's total mileage is correct even after the tuning module has been removed, as the mileage in the motor control is tracked by the tuning module.
- The wheel circumference is adjustable (+/- 10%). This allows for optimized speed and distance measurement accuracy.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
