X2L Mountain Tuning for Xiaomi Mi 3 Lite (without app connection)
Remove the speed limit of your Xiaomi Mi 3 Lite e-scooter!
With this ingenious tuning chip, you can unlock the 20 km/h speed limit on your Xiaomi Mi 3 Lite e-scooter. By removing this annoying limit, you can ride significantly faster, reaching speeds of up to 25 km/h – making for significantly more dynamic riding and fun!
However, you should note that the Xiaomi Mi 3 Lite's motor isn't exactly one of the most powerful e-bikes on the market. Ultimately, the actual achievable top speed always depends on various factors, such as rider weight, gradient, and current wind conditions. However, speeds of just over 25 km/h should generally be achievable.
Here are the most important facts:
-You can activate the tuning with a specific combination of brake and throttle (see below).
-Installation of the X2L Mountain Tuning Chip installation is quick and simple. Since the chip must be installed inside the handlebar, it is not visible from the outside after installation.
-Even when tuning is switched on (=speed limit is lifted), the e-scooter speedometer will display all values corrector This also applies to speeds above 20 km/h!
-The power supply is provided by the e-scooter battery, no extra battery is required for the chip.
X2L Mountain Tuning Installation
Installing the X2L tuning chip is really easy and only takes a few minutes. Follow these steps:
-Switch off the e-scooter.
-Loosen the 4 screws that attach the handlebar to the scooter (use an Allen key).
-Carefully pull the steering head out of the handlebar.
-Then you need to loosen the connector on the cable in the handlebar. Then simply insert the chip between them.
-Now the steering head can be reattached and screwed tight.
-The actual installation is now complete.
-Turn on the Mi 2 Lite e-scooter and wait at least 90 seconds.
-Then turn the scooter off again.
Note: Of course, the e-bike's original condition can be restored at any time. Simply remove the tuning chip.
X2L Tuning Chip - Activation
Please note that this is a sample guide. The procedure for activating tuning may vary slightly in individual cases.
-After switching on the e-scooter, the tuning is always OFF (maximum speed 20 km/h).
-Now you can activate the tuning, but only within the first 30 seconds after switching on the scooter.
-The tuning can be switched on by pulling the brake hard 6 times when stationary, and then pulling the accelerator hard 6 times (if the scooter has 2 brakes, please try out which one is the right one).
-You'll then hear two beeps – this indicates that the tuning chip has been activated. In other words, the 2 km/h speed limit has been lifted, and you can drive significantly faster than before.
IMPORTANT: After installing the tuning chip, the error code 10! may appear when you first turn on your e-scooter. This is normal. In this case, simply wait 60 seconds and then turn the scooter off. Then turn it back on.
Please note: We recommend not installing any updates on your e-scooter after installing the tuning chip. This could potentially impair the functionality of the tuning chip!

This tuning chip is only compatible with the following Xiaomi e-scooter:
-Xiaomi Mi 3 Lite
The tuning chip works with all current firmware versions (please do not install any software updates!). It doesn't matter what year the e-scooter was manufactured or purchased.
It also doesn’t matter whether you use the original Xiaomi Home app.

Tools
To install an E-Bike tuning chip in your E-Bike it is sometimes special tools necessary. Please check previously whether you have to open the engine compartment to access the motor connectors. This is especially true for products from the Modules, Kit, Dongle and Sensor.
Normally (but not always) opening the engine compartment requires loosening the crank. To do this, you will need a Crank puller. Some engines also have a Spider Tool This is important for opening the lock ring on the chainring - because the chainring must be loosened here so that the motor cover can be removed to access the inside of the motor. If you want to replace the chainring (wear, change the gear ratio), you often need a Spider Tool. The necessary special tools can also be found in our shop. To remove the engine cover, you usually need a Torx or Allen key. For installing the modules, appropriate Pliers from the electronics sector.
Do you decide not for a tuning solution that you have to install in the engine compartment (Box, Software), there is no need for any tools. In our Guide you will find further tips.

Important information on tuning measures for e-bikes and e-scooters
We expressly point out that any modification to e-bikes and e-scooters – whether through hardware tuning (e.g. tuning chips, dongles, sensor adapters) or software tuning (e.g. apps, programs or USB tools) – can have consequences.
Tuning measures on e-bikes and e-scooters mean that they are no longer permitted for use on public roads as defined by the StVZO (Road Traffic Licensing Regulations). Legal use is therefore only possible on private property or - if permitted - in competitions. Riding an e-bike or e-scooter modified by tuning measures on public roads can lead to criminal liability for driving without a license (Section 21 of the Road Traffic Act) and driving without insurance (Section 6 of the PflVG). Tuning measures on e-bikes can lead to the loss of warranty rights and manufacturer guarantees. Furthermore, tuning measures can lead to the loss of insurance coverage and benefits from accident victim assistance in the event of an accident. The e-bike (or e-scooter) modified by tuning measures is subject to additional stress due to the higher speed, which can lead to safety risks.

Delivery takes 1-3 business days within Germany. In exceptional cases, it can take up to 8 business days. Delivery times outside Germany may take longer. Please understand that due to high demand, some products may experience longer delivery times.

Shipping costs for Germany are €4,90; shipping is waived for orders over €180. For countries within the EU, shipping costs are €12,90; shipping is waived for orders over €2.000. We currently do not ship to countries outside the EU. We also do not ship to the USA, France, or Canada (including any overseas territories). We ask that you bear the costs of any return shipments yourself. Please note that customs duties may apply in countries outside the European Union.
